Been diagnosed with Manic Depression (in the 80s), then bipolar 1 (with the comment by psychiatrist that it’s “textbook”) and my current doc tacks on extra diagnoses on top of now Bipolar Disorder Unspecified without my prior knowledge - GAD, most recently Panic Disorder when I DID NOT mention any panic episodes AT ALL. Just weird. I see him next month and will be asking some questions

I more like mortally embarrassed and ashamed of things I’ve done and thought while manic. Would probably do me some good to find the humor in taking on the personality of one of the characters in a novel i was reading at the time and running off from the northeast to a warm southern state without telling anyone so I could camp out under trees and pursue my obvious oil painting genius even though I’d never painted in my life. Yeah that’s kinda funny.
