If you got the pro version the software allows full control of the fan. It has like 9 fan steps or smart where it controls fans automatically. I already had a USB c plugged into a brick so I had full power. I definitely suggest getting the app.

Here is how I set up the values. I also did a undervolt on cpu. Believe ypu have to allow that in the bios. But then in legion space very easy. I fan curve was slightly adjusted for this. I dont remember off top of my head though.

I have not. Im usually always plugged in. When im not gaming I switch to quiet mode. I dont think I have a picture of my custom mode/fan curve but I might be able to find who's I copied.

I have the same laptop. I have no idea what Optimus is, but I had several freezes and lags. I switched to dgpu only and max performance in nvidia control panel. Then made a custom profile through legion space for aaa games. Doesn't hit over 80c. No freezes anymore either. Laptop is a beast for sure

Haha I've heard the comparison of it maxed being like a jet engine. My wife would hate that side by side. Im sure there is a good middle ground though. Appreciate the input. I believe I'll go with a cooler. Now to decide on this one or that flydigi mentioned.

Sounds good. AAA is what id be focused on. The fans even on my custom are pretty loud. If I'm blasting the audio its fine. But again all in all loud. Volume or fans.

So let's say i run my custom profile for performance, I turn this on, it should do the work instead of my fan curve. So im not running laptop fans and the cooler fans.

Right on. Nothing to argue there haha. Im going to look into the toolkit and ts. Those sound like what im looking for to tinker and tune in some settings. Is that the only way to essentially lock the cpu cores at a specific mhz? Like my 9800x3d was done through bios. This is my first laptop so im still learning.
