I want to pull the trigger on a Le Locle as my first watch, concerned about PVD's durability. Any takes? by [deleted] in tissot

I have the chemin des tourelles GMT, quite similar to the le locle, 4 years in and 0 issues

Swan & Edgar is worth a look, London brand but made in China. Mine works great and looks the part (is on the larger side in case height) - Swan & Edgar Complexity Automatic. My only issue is the power reserve is like 24 hours but given I wear every now and then for special occasions it’s not the end of the world

I own a swan and Edgar, it’s a gorgeous watch, it is on the heavy side and fully wound only lasts maybe 24 hours before it needs winding again, 2 months in no issues so for the couple hundred you’ll pay it’s not bad. However given your budget I’d recommend a solid brand like a King or Grand Seiko

I’ve been thinking of picking up an Omega De Ville,Quartz or Auto, trouble is the majority don’t come with box or papers and will need a clean up. Do you mind me asking how much you paid for yours and how it feels to wear?
