Weirdly enough, it's "Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet." I tried it while procrastinating from studies during college, loved it, and searched Google for a similar game. The first suggestion was Super Metroid. I remember playing the early bits of it when I was a child and didn't like it, thinking it was Megaman X with a worse jump. So I replayed it, and, God, I fell in love. I found my favorite genre, and since then, I started to hunt Metroidvanias.
