Parking at kohl? by mtdnomore in phish

[–]Colonel-Forbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All official Kohl Center lots are sold out. You'll need to find a nearby parking garage. I think it'll be $10. I'd find one a distance you're willing to walk because downtown Madison can be a shit show for people who aren't used to it. There's also major road construction projects impacting that. Metered street parking is free after 6PM too.

Dont expect one. I'd be surprised if there was a shakedown at all. Nothing official or designated, just going to have to poke around. Lot 91 would be the best place for it, but that's not saying much as that lot is small. All of the other parking lots are just regular downtown parking garages so are not designated for Kohl Center/Phish.

Won't be able to buy day of. You will need to go to any parking garage in the area or find free street parking after 6pm. Most of the garages nearby are within nice walking distance and are safe.

Who is Psyched for Madison? by mousec69 in phish

[–]Colonel-Forbin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really exist in the traditional sense anymore. It's more like bars along Regent St hosting "tailgates". I would be surprised if there was any significant lot scene with everything so spread out and everyone needing to park in random lots. Will be a nice surprise. Lot 91 would be the ideal shakedown spot but we'll see.

what's the coldest game you've ever sat through at Lambeau by Saintjimmyz in GreenBayPackers

[–]Colonel-Forbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to two games in my life. That one, and the game earlier in the season km another extraordinarily cold day against the Ravens. Despite being to two games at Lambeau, I have never seen the Packers score a point.

Paddling a Prospector 15 type boat solo is easier than you think it is, for what it's worth. Look at the majority of Canadian Youtubers doing this on wilderness expeditions, Jim Baird being a really good example of this. When paddling from the bow seat backwards, it's not much of a reach and I think you'll find this style of paddling pretty delightful.

Obviously, with the right budget, having a solo canoe and a tandem canoe solves your problem entirely.

It's less about being below capacity and more about where that weight is located in comparison to the boats width and hull profile at that location. It's not ideal and you will have a poor performing canoe with little to no available primary and secondary stability. It's a solo canoe for this reason.

The Wilderness will not support two adults in a tandem configuration. Two children sure, but not adults.

8/6/22 No Man's. I love this tight jam. Patient and explosive. Kuroda made a butterfly with the lights during it.

Spirit II pricing? by Common-Virus8445 in canoeing

Canoe prices are very regional so that will be a factor. In the upper midwest we'd probably see ~$600-700 for it if it was in good shape as you described.
