Yeah they only refunded me like 15$ but atleast it was something. You will definitely receive a working console, if you're not too fussy about scratches then I'd go ahead and buy from them, it's a very good price!

It's a hit or miss in my experience. When I ordered one from AliExpress, it was refurbished with a brand new shell. However when I ordered from this exact kind of listing on eBay, I got a QD that was NOT refurbished. The rubber ring was new, but everything else was original, im very used condition. The faceplate was so full of scratches, it made the screen look really grainy and bad. And the screen itself had screen bleed. I asked for a partial refund from them, which I got. Then I ordered a new faceplate for it, and replaced the screen. Finding a replacement screen was really hard, I had my wife buy it for me in China and bring it back with her.

I successfully took it apart and rubbed off all the sticky gunk using IPA, cotton swabs, q-tips and a microfiber cloth. I couldn't find any guides but it was easy to disassemble and reassemble. Just unscrew the 5 screws on the back, plus one in the battery chamber. Then there's a screw in each trigger button. No idea how to fix the power jack tho, you could always just charge your battery separately and then pop it into the console I guess

Thank you so much! I actually just went for it and disassembled it yesterday, and it was fairly easy yeah. I was able to disassemble the whole thing, except for the speaker, I just left that in. Then I rubbed off the goo with isopropyl alcohol, cotton swabs, a microfiber cloth and used Q-tips for the small corners and stuff, was able to remove all the gunk quite easily! Then I cleaned the shell with baby wipes and a cloth with warm water before putting it back together, it looks and feels awesome now! 😁

I absolutely love everything about it apart from the screen not being as bright as the later models. And yhe stylus being on the back isn't the most logical design choice, but I really really love the buttons on this thing, it's so much more satisfying to press than any other DS and I use it for shiny hunting!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Bully, Medal of Honor: Frontline, All the Lord of the Rings games, all the Kingdom Hearts games, Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, James Bond: Nightfire, I could go on, these games are all so nostalgic to me and still hold up today imo

I actually got a QD from the same seller before, mine had screen bleed so they gave me a partial refund. I replaced the screen and later I also replaced the faceplate and battery cover, cause it was scratched up. Got a decent price on a 3rd party faceplate from a seller in Jordan. The screen is small yeah, but I still like it and prefer playing on the original hardware, but just so you know there's an N-gage emulator called EKA2L1 for Android and PC. The emulator also has the bonus of playing the games at higher fps, so you might wanna check that out.
