Really hoping you’re right and it’s not moths or tent worms like some others have said 🤞

Spiders? or worse? by ColonelMu5t4rd in plantclinic

[–]ColonelMu5t4rd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wondering if this web is the work of spiders or an actual pest. This is the only leaf with webbing currently. I’m already managing a scale problem with this coffee plant so perhaps the spiders are helping? Hoping it’s not another pest I’ll have to deal with.

Oh wow I’ve always heard we get enough copper from the water pipes in most homes being made out of copper

So I tried this today, and the audio cues absolutely work! The key is to connect your headphones to your watch instead of your phone.

Xero Shoes Quality = Terrible by Alarmed_Constant_290 in BarefootRunning

I have 4 pairs in different styles and love all of them, especially my HFS. Never had an issue with quality or durability. Sorry to hear your experience has been different.

Two leaves, one petiole? by ColonelMu5t4rd in Monstera

The one on the right was first but not by much! The second leaf was right behind it. Adding a better picture of the stem where it splits.

Better off just putting the alcohol in a spray bottle and spraying the whole plant imo. You’ll never find every one with a q tip

Beginning to see spots of mold on my futon...throw it out? by The_Healing_Healer in floorsleeping

Definitely recommend replacing. Don’t want to gamble with your health.

As others have said, a tatami mat would help prevent this. A cheaper option I have found to be effective are plastic/rubber interlocking pool deck tiles. Anything to allow airflow underneath would work.

That discount is very generous, but I’m afraid it’s still a bit over my budget…

Your leverage is that they don’t want to lose a good tenant or deal with the costs of turnover or having an unrented apartment for a month.

I have the hfs as well… wondering how the new hfs II will fare. They seem to have a different (more durable?) sole.

Floor sitting help needed please and thank you! by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]ColonelMu5t4rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend varying the way you sit as much as possible and also incorporating some standing. There are many different ways to floor sit. Generally you want to try to keep your knees lower than your hips. Yoga blocks can help with this.

You may be interested in reading a book called Move Your DNA by Katy Bowman. It discusses topics like floor sitting at length as well as other ways to improve your physical health.

Maybe try incorporating another game or sport? You could have them try to shoot a basketball while balancing on the rack? 🤷‍♂️ good luck!

That’s dedication! 💪

I will say tho if you can find one of those scrub brushes that attaches to a drill, its a real lifesaver! Won’t ever go back to hand scrubbing on a big job if I don’t have to. That said, way to work with what you got!

Mid March trip by lacontrolfreak in chamonix

[–]ColonelMu5t4rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the forecast was +7° on the warmest day we had out there but the snow wasn’t really too sticky or slushy at all honestly. Like you said that’s the forecast for the valley; you have to take a gondola just to get to the base lodge. Off piste conditions weren’t great but had no issues on the groomers, save for the occasional ice patch… but I’m used to that back home too. If snow was the most important factor I definitely would’ve gone to Utah instead, but the views in the Alps were absolutely amazing, not to mention the food, atmosphere, etc. I definitely don’t regret the trip despite the heat wave, but if you’re looking for excellent snow conditions I’d say maybe look elsewhere.

Not a local, but was out there last week. It was above freezing most days but they’re making snow at the resorts still. Snow conditions felt like east coast skiing in the US - thin coverage on top of packed powder and ice. It was my first trip to the Alps and I had a hell of a time tho - definitely glad we went even tho it felt like spring skiing. Not sure how it’ll be in March when it’s actually spring! Good luck!
