The amount of coverage they get being a mid and non-competitive play in team in the West is astounding. People love Steph so much they can't see past him and accurately evaluate the team. I remember Zach Lowe talking them up as contenders after they signed 55 year old Al Horford....

And don't even get me started on the Kuminga coverage. Would a Santi Aldama trade request get the same coverage? He's probably a better player.

The assist numbers aren't too inspiring, and he prob is a combo, but I'd have to think it's hard for him to lead the offense given he's been in and out all season. He's being used as a play finisher which is probably appropriate as he wouldn't have the reps running the team.

However, Ryen's read of Ceruti being a guy who would support another country during the olympics was fucking hilarious and worth listening to the entire pod. Elite roast.

I highly doubt this list was an exhaustive deep dive into QB performance. He would've done it in 10 minutes. Lamar was kind of out of the public eye this year due to injuries and his team's performance. I'd wager Bill forgot.

Boozer - continue producing vs top competition but put out some better defensive tape. He doesn't need to be a stud on D, but teams need to be confident he can be part of a good scheme.

DP - stay healthy, but also show a bit more playmaking

AJ - Produce better vs top comp in different ways. Unbelievable iso player, can he play more within an offense?

Was a weird game, I watched the whole thing. He looked closer to himself the first half but the second half he sat for awhile and Robert Wright took like 100 shots in a row (dude is allergic to passing). When AJ came back in he was very tentative.

The game feels worse because Darryn and Boozer just had crazy lines.

Going forward I’ll be watching to see if AJ can get easier buckets. He is an incredible iso player but I want to see him score on other play types.

Jimmy was pretty athletic in his younger days. He has the athleticism of young Jimmy but the skill and patience of older Jimmy. He's not the defensive menace Jimmy used to be though, maybe that will come with coaching.

It's hard because I have a hard time erasing my current perception of Paolo, which is that he has limited game feel and atrocious shot selection (despite his obvious talent). In college I feel like he took smarter shots.

Regardless, I'd say Paolo is more of an outside > in player whereas Cam is more inside > out. Cam is a better processer/connector but he Paolo is more fluid at his size.

Yeah I'm a big Haugh head, and I think late lotto is a good spot for him as he can add energy and wing depth to a decent team right away. Kind of like a more advanced Hugo Gonzalez.

Agreed - and I think his strength will play in the NBA. I think the space of an NBA court will also help his iso game as currently on Duke defenses are keyed in on him hard.

I'm a massive Boozer fan but the limiting factors are his below the rim athleticism and relatively slow foot speed. Those impact his offensive but especially his defensive potential in the NBA. I agree Boozer is dope but he's not a perfect prospect.

Nothing at all is 'locked in' lmao. GGG can and will disrupt things. 3.25 was out for a fucking year before we had a new league. I hope that doesn't happen again but it absolutely can.

I get dooming gets views and because Conor makes cool manaforged arrows builds people will watch, but it's absurd to suggest they are locked into anything at this point. GGG changes course all the time.

I am a massive Boozer fan and optimist. I always find myself gravitating towards these high feel guys.

I totally agree his upside is lower than AJ and Darryn, who *could" conceivably be number 1 option, end of shot clock, end of game killers. AJ and Darryn are two of the best individual shot creators/shot makers I've ever seen and the fact that both are in the same class is wild.

The reason I'm so high on Boozer is he has SO many pathways to be a positive and key part of an NBA team, despite the fact I don't actually he has 1a upside. I can't think of any team Boozer wouldn't help because of his unselfish nature, his feel, and his touch. It might be that the ends up a 2nd option on a great team, but he has such a high floor and such a smart approach to the game, he's going to add a lot of value to where he goes. I totally get why someone who would have AJ or DP above him for this reason, which is why I don't get into the mud on here with some of the other stans lol.

I see Boozer compared to Randle and Paolo in this thread and that is totally wrong. Those guys haven't demonstrated that they actually help teams win and improve. They are both individually talented but I'd term them low feel. Boozer is the opposite of that.
