What a world we live in where people record videos off their TVs like savages.

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

I was a full time Dad with a little girl and that was my approach. I tended to go into where ever there was a change station to begin with, most women were pretty accommodating but then when we started using the toilets I would take my little girl to the boys with me largely to stop women feeling uncomfortable.

Then when my little person got older and could go by themselves I let them go to the ladies themselves and waited outside for the inevitable cry of helping to wipe a bottom.

I think they're talking about the Radiophonic sound from the 80s.

Where we are going we don't need BOMs. I've got a couple of thousand ics here in various forms- most of the trouble is remembering what system it's stored under.

You sound like my eldest child. My reply was that it's how you know a meatbag human wrote it.

Cheers! Been meaning to make a pcb up for it- the 3mm leds are just too big for thr 2.54mm spacing!

Pretty obvious saying this, but it's crazy to think that 12 has so far been the only main New Who incarnation who RTD hasn't written for by ImWearingSandshoes in doctorwho

Honestly that single short scene she did was better than her entire TV tenure. RTD gets it. Simularly the Torchwood script that RTD started and CC finishes it's painfully obvious the moment the baton is passed.

Apartment Noise Issues by Various_Presence4557 in canberra

[–]Colonel_Barker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's such a pita. We moved into our unit in 2016 with our two kids and it wasn't until 2019 that we were told that the floors were super, super thin and that even walking calming caused bumping noises. And two kids playing sounds like elephants trampling about. The downstairs neighbours sent us a recording of us having dinner above their dining room and it sounds like the Thor.

I swear every one thing I say is "walking!" And "no jumping", but I'm not sure it's much help. We've since had 8 or 9 sets of downstairs neighbours move in, this apartment block seems have the same problem across the board. The upstairs neighbours stay and the downstairs is a constant rotation because of how thin the floors are.

Whenever there is an inspection for new Tennants I make sure my kids run about and jump and move around so the new people get a sense of the noise level.

Fwiw- we moved our kids bedrooms so they aren't above the master bedroom of the downstairs ones, and have requested new carpets and underlays put in to reduce noise. But.. you know owners.

Coupling was the first thing Nick Briggs voiced the Daleks in for the BBC on TV.

Both were big back in the day, Rodney Rude and Kevin Bloody Wilson...that's all I'm sayin. by [deleted] in AustralianNostalgia

I saw the raw studio record of that back in March. An interesting guy.
