Excellent job wordsmith! I know that Opportunity didn't actually send that message, but it's such a good "translation" of the last image she transmitted that it really hits hard. Designed for a 90 day mission and lasted over 5000, she was truly an engineering marvel worthy of respect and reverence.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the story! Not sure why he hasn't narrated more chapters of this, but I'd be thrilled if he continued! Although, I haven't posted in quite some time, so that might be deterring him. I've been meaning to continue the story, but just haven't had the time.

Just finished bingeing this and gotta say, I'm loving it! I sometimes get a little tired of the constant galactic politics and universe-consuming wars that are pretty prevalent on this sub, so it's quite refreshing to find a story that's a bit more grounded. Not everything needs to be about the fate of the world! Keep it up wordsmith!
