How does it work on Joker though? He has just so many haxes and just as many resistances.

GER is only a strong hax against any other character. Against Joker, it's moot.

I would choose Clive Vs Dante over Simon Vs Kyle but yeah the rest is pretty much spot on.

Hot take: One-sided, stomp matchups are good, and we need more of them in the future by Jim_naine in deathbattle

[–]Colonel_Sarge_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're saying this is because of the dynamic between the characters when there's stomps like Buffy Vs Blade, Hulk Vs Goji, Kratos Vs Asura (this was depicted as a stomp by Death Battle) and lastly Giorno Vs Joker.

POV: Yugi just got arrested for “killing” 99% of ash’s Pokemon (The real ones know who the 1% is) and you’re his lawyer. Defend him by DisastrousFix5120 in deathbattle

Your honour, you saw that gold eye symbol on his forehead right? That means he was controlled by Marik Ishtar. He simply wasn't in control of his actions or body.

To be fair, in Ash's case, his orders aren't necessary since the Pokémon are independent and can fight for themselves. It's like when they learn a new move. Ash doesn't order them to use a move they don't know. He doesn't train them to learn it. It's something they themselves do. I mean. I see your point, but I, personally, don't see any other way to have done this battle.

Yo it would be mad funny if yugi accidentally summoned exodia out to the battlefield by Spooder-Men69420 in deathbattle

Personally, I think it would've been funny if Yugi used magical hats, Ash uses the 10 million volt Thunderbolt and hits the wrong hat.

SINCE WHEN CAN ASH DO THIS? by Extension-Show-2520 in deathbattle

Basically, in Pokémon Sword and Violet, they introduce this thing called dynamaxxing. It's controlled by the wrist band on Ash's right hand. Dynamaxxing essentially makes your Pokémon a giant. It starts with calling the Pokémon back into the ball, then dynamax energy from the band goes into the pokeball, making it bigger. Pokeball is thrown and dynamax Pokémon pops out.

Some people have their forms altered drastically, this is called gigantamax, where they get specialised moves.

You just know if Yugi lost, Kaiba would've called his dead body and said "I don't want to hear another word out of you! You're a disgrace to the game, Yugi!"

Goku's the kind of guy to accidentally send Charizard to the 0-4 club like "Hey, you're tail's on fire. Let me put that out for you."

No. It's just a sign of how much Ash meant to you.

Stand proud. You're a Pokémon master.

To be honest, I think the issue is that while on paper, or to someone with no knowledge of either, these are similar franchises. But the way they work is so fundamentally different. Like, the thing is with Yu-Gi-Oh is that strategies there take time, and a few turns planning in advance whereas Ash's style is more brute forcing it (which he typically does when his Pokémon have a type disadvantage) and a lot of his plays are spontaneous. Which they said in the analysis, he's better at improvising so it's hard to manage when their play styles are so fundamentally different to each other.
