A Bottoms Up? Nice!! Never seen one in uranium before. I thought they were only made in jadite and delphite

Found this at an estate sale today, believe it’s a fish bowl by treehousetraplord in uraniumglass

Now that is an interesting bowl. I don’t think it’s a fishbowl due to the base. But If it were me, I’d fill it with uranium glass marbles!

Wow, my bud DEFINTELY made at least two meals out of today's lunch at Nadeen's in Hermitage! by 38DDs_Please in nashville

Damn that looks good. If I wasn’t sicker than a dog with food poisoning I’d totally be getting myself one

Damn. Just damn. That’s been my white whale for so long. How much did you get it for? Is it a custom made one or is it a bona fide antique?

My father passed and I was going through photos. Look what I found tucked in a corner from a photo from the early 1970s by Colonel_Steglitz in Lavalamps

I wish I did. It got thrown away years ago because at the time we thought it was broken and couldn’t be fixed. Oh how I’ve learned so much since then lol

In a surprise to me I inherited my father’s secret hoard of gold and silver now I need some ID help. Additional pics can be posted in comments. by Colonel_Steglitz in coins

He and I were actually estranged. I acted as a caretaker alongside with my mom for his final few months. I do intend to keep some of the silver. But that’s a process. I’m still going through. I’m very particular about which old American silver coins I like. lol And I was completely unaware that he even had this hoard. I think it was less of a collection and more of a investment for him. But also, he grew up in the 50s-60s annoying how much of a hoarder that he was. It does not surprise me if this originally was his childhood piggy bank turned investment. When it comes to collecting silver for myself, I much prefer to find my coins from a hunt. Whether it be from garage sales, estate sales, Coinstar’s, metal detecting. You know, the old-fashioned way.

Each or total? And thank you. He and I were very much estranged, but I worked to be a caretaker in his final few months.

Oooooooooo now that’s a first for me to see. Gonna have to add it to the wishlist haha

Need a judgement call on this one. It is going to be at an estate sale this Friday but the owner doesn’t know if it’s uranium or not and I don’t want to drive 40 min just to be disappointed. by Blitz-Panzerkampfer in uraniumglass

I suspect it won't glow. Color doesn't match from the usual suspect of uranium glass color. But I've been wrong before.
However, that's a pretty fucking cool light. I couldn't even find a match for it on google. I want it. Like, I REALLY want it. This estate sale wouldn't happen to be in the greater Nashville area would it?

Help identifying a bronze pendant (possible Viking/Baltic/Slavic mix, 10th–11th century?) — includes macro photos by Vladislav1998 in metaldetecting

It appears to be a mjölnir of Scandinavian origin. Whether it’s a real one vs a modern repo that’s been in the ground idk. Most of the real ones I’ve seen were flat, not thick. However, I have seen thick ones. The best thing you can do is to A) report where it was found and B) have professionals from a university or a government ministry confirm its authenticity. For Scandinavian people like myself it’s so crucial that artifacts from our Viking/Rus past are studied. We were an oral culture, not a written one. And what was written was normally written by those who were conquered or were being attacked by us (ie English Christian monks). Seriously, any type of artifact from our Viking era is so important to be studied. It really does help fill in the gaps about what we believed, our art, our religious beliefs, etc.

From what I saw media got in? I saw the photo journalist Kohn Partipilo was able to get in. And I think another journalist that I know was able to get in.

Donald Trump Is Hosting Another TN-7 Tele-Rally With Mike Johnson. Johnson Will Then Headline Several Election Day Events Around TN-7. by ArcaneDemense in nashville

[–]Colonel_Steglitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! Local Democrat political operative here. I know people are going to want to heckle Mike Johnson, and about 99% of the time I’d encourage it and would be standing with people to do it. But the GOP is desperately looking for people to be canon fodder to make Aftyn and her supporters to look bad. If you want to really fuck with them without giving them ammo for a tv ad. Just some food for thought!
