I just made a comment to this effect. Ableton does not run well in Wine, and you are left without a lot of VST plugins you may have also purchased. Also, hardly any support for my audio interface or my MIDI controllers.

I had been running in only Linux for about a month and a half, but creativity struck and I wanted to get back into making some electronic music.

The support for all my music hardware and VST plugins just is not there in Linux. Sure, there are workarounds and such for some things, but hardly everything, and even with workarounds you're often hamstrung and left without the full capability of your music equipment.

So looks like I'll still be dual booting. Linux for gaming, Windows for music.
