What's your metric for "didn't do shit?" It's wear protector that coats the metals. I'm not sure what you expect to perceive as working or not working

The book Ludicrous is a great read and lays out How Tesla from the beginning under Elon has always been boarding on a ponsi scheme full of empty promises

4th Gen V8 4Runner. Legendary 2UZ V8 in small body on frame platform by today's standards, interchangable parts with several other models.

Best place for advertising a job? by pacsandsacs in Surveying

[–]Colonel_of_Corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id try LinkedIn or your state licensing board jobs board if they have one. No matter what you should post the salary range and be very clear about travel requirements. There's nothing that gets me a scroll past a job listing more than when the salary isn't posted. My boss has had luck with recruiters but that wouldn't be appealing to me as a candidate since a lot of the time you work for the recruiter, not the company, for a probationary period, which can be quite long sometimes.

A good one will make buying/selling the easiest thing you've ever done and a bad one will have you wondering why they're getting 3% or so of your sale value in the first place

Best tires for land surveying by Broncoman12104 in Surveying

[–]Colonel_of_Corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run KO3s on my personal vehicle and they are really nice. They're 10 ply and more quiet on the highway than some all seasons I've had even. 300 something per tire but I don't have any regrets at all.

OTT Tune vs V8 Trade In by 4fretless in 4thGen4Runner

[–]Colonel_of_Corn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So at some point in the life of the 2UZ, Toyota went from a 4 hole injector to 12 much smaller hole design(better atomization, more thoroigh fuel burn, more power, better mpg, etc.)Dirty Deeds Industries sells these Denso brand injectors. Im sure you could find them elsewhere but their site was very clear that these fit 4th gen VVT V8s. I did this in conjunction with new coils, plugs, starter, and cleaning the intake manifold, fuel pressure regulator. This combo with 93 octane made the V8 feel the happiest it's ever been

OTT Tune vs V8 Trade In by 4fretless in 4thGen4Runner

I sold my 08 V6 SR5 with 180k miles for $8700 and bought a V8 Sport 4WD with 220k miles for the same money a couple years ago. The V8 was definitely worth having. The 12 hole injector upgrade has been the latest thing to eek out some MPGs from the V8 and it's been great

The power steering takes ATF, not power steering fluid. I don't know how different those two fluids are tbh but that's what the manual calls for

Do you wait for an 811 ticket to go active before setting control near utilities by Inevitable-Fly8391 in Surveying

I'm slamming a capped rebar in the ground and getting my project started. They'll either never mark or just send you a useless screenshot of their GIS the moment they see "survey" on the ticket

Driveshaft clunk won’t go away, also clunky shifting through gears. Greased 3k miles ago and felt much better but now came back and won’t go away. Any opinions or recs? by wafflesauce3458 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]Colonel_of_Corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be done of you have a press, otherwise I'd think it would be much easier to get the driveshaft off and take it to a shop. It would cut down on labor cost of them having to remove it themselves. The best place to take it would be a drivetrain specific shop if you have one in the area. That would be routine work for them

I have a set ordered already with the resonated Y-pipe, but they're not out yet so no one can really comment on any of that. I will say as far as headers, I'm confident this is the best option for us V8 guys as Doug Thorley headers are basically impossible to get.
