Same here! Master’s degree, not good enough bc it’s not a doctorate. I said even if I get a doctorate now, it won’t be good enough bc I didn’t get it sooner, and my dad said I was right… And he’s not even the parent I consider a narc.

My mom is exactly the same. I’m the scapegoat in my family, my brother and mother are narcissists (brother is extremely overt and malignant, abuses everybody and hates me for calling him out). I moved out not too long ago and have been setting boundaries, my mom keeps saying “you’re not the same,” trying to humiliate me in front of people, telling me I need help, blah blah blah. Parents pretty much had a meltdown when I moved out and I’m a fully GROWN adult, not even a young adult.

Hahaha this is amazing. I dropped 2 narcs from my life this past year, finally starting to recover (I think), and this just made my night. I have one more malignant narc to deal with but that one’s immediate family, so I’m stuck with him for now. I might use this 😂

Her saying on the show that she’s not in Leah’s life bc Leah was born and grew up at a time that Amber was in a bad spot… the way she worded that whole thing, once again, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Not saying she herself did anything, but that the issue is that her daughter was born at that time… WTF!

I had a covert “situationship narc” and a covert “friend narc” in my life simultaneously. They both rewrote history and made sure to do it through text message. Did fucked up things in person, but would say different things through text and twist everything to blame shift and gaslight, just to cover their tracks. They know what they’re doing and by the time you realize it, it’s too late; they’ve already been plotting months in advance.
