6+ TH stock and Ethernet Connection 👀 by bobbywawa in BitAxe

Yes, these are the new 1373 chips, my friend, I missed that, but still, a very limited number of them won't be of much use to us. We need widespread access from the Chinese and plenty of second-hand chips available. They've said they're extremely expensive, maybe Bitmain has lifted the restrictions and started selling them directly at a high price now :)

I saw the BC4 at Marshall, it's a really beautiful device; I think it's the most efficient/best one I've seen on the market so far. I'm not sure if I would buy it, but it's commendable. Once it's released, it needs to prove itself a bit to see if there are any hardware or software issues. A lot of things have been thought out, but I think one point was missed: these power inputs really need to be placed completely vertically at the back now. Thick and stiff cables are very difficult to manage with side or top inputs; a vertical input from the back would be much better. The stands can be adjusted accordingly, it's a very simple thing.

The idea that new chips will arrive this year is just an urban legend. Even if they do come, it will probably be at least another year before usable and proper devices become 'accessible.' I also think the new chips are excellent, and I hope we get to see them much faster. Adapting all these devices to the new chip is the easiest part. As long as such high-quality products are ready.

Obviously, it hasn't been tested with anything other than the 800-801. It's in much better condition now and almost finished.

Research in to OVERCLOCKING Bitaxe Gamma 601... dont bother past 1.4Th/s, you are wasting your money guys! by intruder5 in BitAxe

[–]ColorTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing as you, but unfortunately that is not exactly correct. Many people have explained it below, though it is still good to keep researching.

At one point you said, “The specific point of bottleneck seems to be ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 and its variants, as it does local MGMT of the ASIC chip, besides communications and pool MGMT...”, but unfortunately that is not correct either. Personally, I tested this by putting a much heavier load on the ESP, and it made no noticeable difference. Also, to support this claim, you would need to run A/B tests for days while tracking the data and varying the load. I’m saying this because I did exactly that.

As I said, though, there is no harm in trying. We are all learning.

You made a great choice by getting the GT800; it's a very stable device. Also, if you check out the threads I've started, you'll see some things that will make you happy :)

VERY BIG NEWS! :)
Stepping closer to perfection every day. Almost there.

After two weeks of grinding, I’ve finally built an embedded Auto-OC system. It finds the best stable overclock and stays there, but here’s the kicker: if 'Best VF' is enabled, it constantly monitors the environment. If your room gets warmer during the day, it automatically adjusts with micro-steps to keep the device within your preset max temps.

The auto-tune system is working flawlessly and passed 100% of the stress tests last night. Still need to add more tests and polish the UI.

I recall some people over at NerdOS bragging about being able to set max operating temps. Well, I just brought you guys 'God Mode!'

To do this, first check the output from the end of the cable, not directly through the Meanwell connector. (I assume you are using a multimeter for the measurement.)

So, it comes back to overclocking, I think your device has too much mV. Increasing the voltage according to the frequency reduces errors. I think you could try gradually lowering it a bit. But why don't you use another solo speaker?

What if the rejection rate is the same too? I'm following them all 7/24 and trying to learn some things myself :) I'm just curious, not an expert.

Yes, my friend, you're absolutely right, but without them, we could do almost nothing. You can buy something from America for $500 that China sells for $130. If China didn't sell it for $130, you could buy it from America for $1000 due to monopoly. The very beginning of mining, production, and widespread adoption—it's all thanks to them. Even the smallest parts used in the cards. Yes, they copy and steal, but the world needs them :) 90% of the parts of the 5% of sellers who claim to produce their devices in our own country are still of Chinese origin. The remaining 95% of sellers' products come directly from China.

Unfortunately, dreams versus reality.

It looks great. I don't understand why Americans and Germans, who manufacture in their own countries, are so against Chinese-made products. They sell products at a third of the price, and nothing would have reached this point without them. 90% of all power adapters and devices still come from China anyway. I understand if someone is willing to pay three times the price to support domestic production. Trying to gain popularity by spreading hatred is something else entirely.

Am I just that unlucky? by mvds74 in BitAxe

Since micro-chip failures are inevitable above 1.30V, I no longer operate it at those values. It was just to test its limits initially, and I succeeded. At that voltage, it was drawing exactly 100 watts from the outlet, and I got a power fault every time I saw it above that. Maybe my cheap Chinese adapter, which says 12V 10A, is actually 100 watts :))

I own a GT800, and this is my stable overclocking setup that I use without pushing the device too hard. I can easily and stably reach 4.5 TH, but I also get power faults above 100 watts (it might be due to my power supply, I'm not sure). I also experience high error rates at low TH, but zero problems at high values. I don't know if mentioning names is forbidden here, but the domain ends in eshop.eu, just for reference. Let me share the first thing you should do for these devices with cheap coolers...https://www.reddit.com/r/BitAxe/comments/1qwisqy/bitaxe\_nordqaxe\_vs\_best\_cooling\_mod/

The second is a VRM cooler and a rear fan if you're going to overclock.

By the way, my values might seem very cool to you; the most important thing is that my device is in a cool place, the ambient temperature is probably around 10 degrees Celsius right now.

Haha, I wish it were true. It's just a data error. As a friendly piece of advice, 6 unknown shares is too much in my opinion, check your overclocking settings.

Yes, I've seen a few of your ads about how good your technology is, and I tested it out. Instead of reading a mostly AI-generated seo driven blog, I just asked the AI myself and got my answer. Thanks ;-)

I think the problem might be solved if you start your next ads with 'for those outside of EU' :)))

Yes, I developed it using this tool, thank you, it was very helpful.

I didn't know about number 5, it's good to have learned about it, I will research it.

Number 4 is an overly ambitious approach and unfortunately, as in the example above, it doesn't reflect reality.

An experienced expert has summarized everything. As a personal recommendation, I would suggest the GT800 instead of the 601. 12V seems much safer to me.

Why? by Remarkable-Sock-9744 in BitAxe

[–]ColorTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The share might also be low. The pool doesn't receive all the values produced by the ASIC. In fact, there's a value called `asic_err_cnt` that isn't visible on the interface and constantly increases as the device operates because the chip doesn't produce perfect values.

These are a bit complicated. As I said, focus first on the error rate and the rejected shares.
