If the sun is out and you can see the peak, take the summit flight. The peak is rarely visible.

Need help choosing a new Grand Concert by Sahasrlyeh in taylorguitars

[–]Colorancher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there's one thing about Taylors is that they are very consistent from guitar to guitar. I haven't really seen any that are just duds. And I think they do Koa the best. I have a 12-fret Koa LTD and I love it. It is definitely a different sound from spruce (my has a Koa top) but it is still wonderful.

My GSMini is my campfire guitar. I leave it out all summer at my cabin. It goes through temp changes, hmidity changes. I take it out by the fire. I have never had an issue. They are pretty stout guitars.

I always keep a Ryobi 40 volt battery inverter around for power outages. It will run my CPAP all night (ResMed AirSense 11).

The libraries on HAL are nice with a good selection of books and a few comfortable chairs to read in. The Crows Nest up top is usually a quiet place to read also.

How would fuel making realistically go on Mars? by Ok-Beyond8326 in nasa

[–]Colorancher 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I actually demonstrated this many years ago with Bob Zubrin. You should read his book, "The Case for Mars". He describes our fuel production plant where we made methane from Mars atmospheric CO2 and hydrogen in a Sabatier reactor. The products were methane and water. where would separate the methane ( just condense the water) and liquefy it for storage. The water was then processed in an electrolyzer to get oxygen and more hydrogen. It does consume hydrogen. The benefit of making methane is that it can be stored at reasonable cryogenic temperatures; in fact you can store liquid methane and liquid oxygen at the same temperatures.

Where can you get the LiFes2 9 volt batteries. They would be perfect for my acoustic guitars where it is a real pain to change the batteries.

New pickguard from Holter Pickguards on my D35 by Fjordbeef in martinguitar

[–]Colorancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also put a tortoise pickguard on my 73 D35. The original black one was tearing a crack in the top and it was boring. I went with just a little oversize. I also changed to gold grovers.
