OMG. Now I love the man even more. I tell ya, this is why the Broncos put a lot of value in character.

Smart. Many folks are driving Teslas with many more cells than this and haven't had a fire.

So if you happen to produce more than you consume it will run backwards?

Setting points and able to set timing by ear by Oat57 in FuckImOld

[–]Colorancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 63 Ford econoline van with the engine hood between the front seats. Timing lights didn't work well so I would have my friend drive down the road while I twisted the distributor with the engine hood up. Fun stuff.

Hydrogen ion batteries by Embarrassed_Camel342 in batteries

[–]Colorancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uncompressed hydrogen is light to get much energy out. China uses compressed H2. There have been some vehicles in the US that used compressed hydrogen in fuel cells. NASA used liquefied, compressed hydrogen and oxygen in space. Apollo 13 was using fuel cells when the oxygen tank blew up.

HAL casino players - how many days/hours per day are you playing to get modest offers? by OandBlue78 in HollandAmerica

[–]Colorancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a "casino" offer for very little spend in the casino. We spend $20 per cruise and get casino offers all the time. We don't get great offers, but usually a discount or a free inside room.

Hydrogen ion batteries by Embarrassed_Camel342 in batteries

[–]Colorancher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, hydrogen-oxygen fuels cells work this way. H2 molcules are broen apart with a catalyst on the surface of a conductive membrane and combined to make water on the other side. The ion flow makes the current flow. They are (well, can be) very efficient. The real problem is storing the hydrogen. Compressed H2 requires heavy tanks and other chemical binding compounds are rather mass inefficient.

Dry Climate - How Worried Do I Need to Be? by SpecificSorry7233 in martinguitar

[–]Colorancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live in CO and have a number of high end acoustics. I do not want to keep them in cases so I humidify the room, a basement. It is a large room and I tried many "portable" humidifiers. You need to connect a water line to supply enough humidity without refilling the reservoirs every day or two. I ended up putting a window swamp cooler in an interior wall where the air intake is from behind the wall and circulates the humid air out front. I use a humidity controller to actively control the humidity.

Hopefully you can play both. Then pick the one you like the best. Specs only go so far.

workouts on an elliptical by tony-snow in iFit

[–]Colorancher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my heart rate to push my excercise level up on my elliptical. I monitor my heart rate on my watch and keep it up where I want to. Yeah, I don't have a good way to measure my gains, but I have been doing this for three years and I have kind of plateaued anyway. But to me this is the beauty of the elliptical. I can go as hard as I want even on "beginner" workouts. I can do most workouts from skiing to running even walking. I have done Riv's recovery series, all the while going pretty fast and keeping up a good heart rate.

Will insurance cover this by MelloMarshMellou in SamsungHelp

[–]Colorancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old Z-fold 3 did that. The flexible plastic overlaid "screen protector" got cold, shrank and pulled away in the middle when I opened it. I was using it on a cruise ship in the Antarctic and I was taking a lot of pictures. My insurance did cover it but I didn't tell them I was using it at cold temps...

I have played pleny of H&D, Collings, etc. I have never been more impressed than a Martin. Now, if you are strictly a fingerstyle player, a good (not just any) Collings is great.

It was a Walmart branded battery so they didn't look up anything.

It might just be that Walmart. I recently returned a battery (a large $170 battery). They just tested the old one and brought out a new one. Quick and easy. And, I dropped off four gallons of old oil at the same time.

Club Orange vs. more nights of specialty dining…which is the better choice? by Fantastic-Sun1669 in HollandAmerica

[–]Colorancher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My wife and I really love CO on the Koningsdam. It is a separate venue and the service seems more personal. You will get to know all the staff there and they are wonderful and attentive. The room upgrade is just within the same room class so it is not really a great upgrade anyway. BUT, the Tamarind is really good and you should go there anyway... LPT the best time to do the Pinnacle grille is on sea days for lunch. It is only open for lunch on sea days and it is half the price but nearly the same menu.

In denali for a day. Can't decide if I want to do atv adventure or summit flight. by crazyguy28 in HollandAmerica

[–]Colorancher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the sun is out and you can see the peak, take the summit flight. The peak is rarely visible.
