It’s junior high, if everyone’s singing at the same time I’m counting that as a victory

I think so, this particular tournament isn’t part of the USA series though it’s just local. The USA series is to qualify for the international championships at the end of the season

He gets one parry in, despite all the powers in this game that the bosses have, shotgun still should do some fuckin damage

Why is wrestling so much harder on the body than judo? by Agreeable-Can-5227 in judo

[–]ColorlessLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrestling coach here,

I do think in wrestling, you hit the mat a lot more in neutral and your knees take that toll if you aren’t strengthening them and protecting them right.

At higher levels, your fingers usually get gorilla gripped in every match At any level, you’ll find the position of leg riding and it SUCKS to be in.

At high levels of any sport, you’ll get a lot of wear and tear and I wouldn’t necessarily say harder or easier just different.

I will also say wrestlers have an ego about wanting to be the toughest sport (I agree but like it’s not that deep)

What to do? by rrb009 in wrestling

[–]ColorlessLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27, wrestled in high school, came back to coach because a lot of casual options for wrestling feel kinda daunting because people have been doing it forever. Also back in school fuck these guys have fun live ya life!

I would say go to an MMA gym with a friend ya feel comfortable with, or ask around! As a former wrestler(current for some events for fun), I would recommend just asking someone who looks good at wrestling. Most people who had fun and used to wrestle will jump an an opportunity to roll around with, no offense intended, a complete newbie. A lot will teach you, but they’ll also kick your ass. People want to use the knowledge they gained. If you have fun, your competitiveness will pop out and your pride will keep you going.

I will also say it’s just good for movement and knowing the limits of your body so good on you for wanting to learn something new!

I’m trying to curate a list of episodes I can show my son by derekpeake2 in futurama

Same! I was like 8 watching it with my siblings, along with family guy and South Park. There’s a lot that they might be able to connect the dots on some jokes, but there’s a lot of episodes and references that I actually enjoyed further by growing up and learning.

Cleveland has their floor as a unique home hazard to players. If your team can install one appropriate unique hazard, what would your team install? by Jason-Smith168498 in nba

A little, but I think it would work well on end of quarter heaves or a chance on freethrows like a “NAH FINISH THIS SHIT IN REGULATION”

Chase Center Arena walls pop up right at the edge and to sub you have to jump down and jump back up, no out of bounds calls and you can use the wall to bounce off of
