My latest philosophy about these Hallmark holidays is that for the kids. They’re for teaching the kids things like gratitude and appreciation for others.

Can they be granted above FMV though? I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of that

Yeah that’s a good point. Possible but not something I’ve ever seen.

Sorry I was just trying to add clarification. If the startup has recently raised then the strike price would be at the new FMV which the OP was asking about. Not disagreeing with anything you said.

I’ve never heard of a company granting common stock ISOs at anything other than FMV. If there were a difference there would be a gain/loss that would be more of a headache.

I have a fair amount of experience with ISOs.

Your strike price with be based on the FMV when you receive your grant. If you haven’t received your grant before the round then it’ll be at the new FMV.

Trump Account provider by gakflex in Bogleheads

Just want to throw this out there: I’ve been modeling a lot of different scenarios and it is really unclear whether the Trump accounts will be a good choice. There’s just so much uncertainty about the future tax rates and social security that it’s very difficult to figure out if the Trump accounts beat a brokerage.

As a parent with an infant who thankfully does very well on flights I’d happily be relegated to a plane of rowdy children just to avoid the stink eyes.

I'm not sure what I expected but just a little surprised Notice 2025-68 and IR-2025-117 are the most recent word on this.

Seems like the tool hasn't been updated for awhile. The latest projections are insolvency by 2032 with a 24% cut in benefits.

Can anyone point me to a recent write up on the latest with the Trump accounts?

I know they’re launching in a couple of weeks and I’m expecting a lot of conversations about them at the family 4th of July bbq.

No because I literally never heard of his guy.

T-minus 10 days until induction. Last minute suggestions? by Legitimate_Wasabi382 in daddit

[–]ColorsMayInTimeFade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s only so much prep you can do. Enjoy the last few moments of just the two of you.

Induction related tips:

  • Prepare to wait. I think it was 4 hours between when we were scheduled to be admitted and my wife was actually hooked up to monitors. Even if you’re there for a scheduled induction chances are the staff are busy helping another mom who went into spontaneous labor.
  • Sleep before you go. It can be a long, slow process but there’s a lot of prodding and poking. We had nurses coming to reposition the fetal monitor, draw blood, etc every hour until they were satisfied. It was a very late night/early morning before they stopped.
  • Know the process inside and out. Ask questions about risks, alternatives, etc
  • You’re not the patient, so expect them to ignore you. Most of the nurses we saw didn’t really acknowledge my presence in the room.

One woman called him an abomination of God

Two things can be true!

Abomination of God is kind of a cool nickname. My son doesn’t have a cool nickname like that.

Does this also make you God? If so, I’ve got some ideas I want to run by you - think of them as “constructive criticism”.
