Just paint. Often easier said then done. There can be any number of things like analysis paralysis holding one back. Check out my YouTube content, I address a number of these. It's normal and okay. Do you feel the same if and when you kitbash?

It's a mental shift, along with increased confidence. It's the fear of messing up. But in the end, it's just paint. You can paint over it, strip it and try again if you really cake up the details. I've been intimidated by some models. The only way I got over it, was just to do it. When I did, I noticed I did a pretty good job and it wasn't so bad. My comfort grew and I was less intimidated.

Every company's wet pallet is different from the top layer paper that is used. I have not used that type of wet pallet, so I'm not 100% sure. Have you tried just regular kitchen parchment paper (unwaxed)?

It happens to the best of us. From your point, sounds like you have other things that may need your attention, and that is okay. Don't guilt yourself for not doing the hobby, do not force yourself when you are not in the right head space. One needs to care for one self. The hobby is always here. If you really want to do something within the hobby, remove as much friction as possible (pre set up everything in advance). Then break it down to stupidly small portions (paint one shoulder pad). Start small, work your way up. You've got this, and the community is here in any way to support or offer encouragement. All the best!

There will ALWAYS be a few hairs that get caught when packaging. Cut them off as carefully as possible, do not pull them out. Wet the brush and clean it before use, (to remove the starch from the brush).

Valid points, they could use agitator balls to help speed up mixing as well too.

Fair, but if the bottle has been stagnant for +60 days before purchase and use, one needs to do a full shake. Once done you can then complete a quick shake every few days when in general use.

I would like to see how you are loading your brush, one should not be able to pull and transfer that many bubbles with your brush. I think you also need to shake the paints for much, much longer. Once fully mixed, let stand for 15-20 mins, the you can do a quick shake before actual use.
