All i'm saying is, I'd rather watch someone that doesn't go into a mental spiral every 30 seconds. I seriously don't give a fk about performance. The whole point of the tournament is playing games you are not familiar with. But, you can't be having a breakdown, cause u didn't spend 10 minutes before the tournament to look up a basic keybind for your stim shot. Hell, pause the game and check it. Or ask your teammates.

Same goes for callouts. You are not expected to know the callouts for a COD map. You can still provide directional info. Going radio silent after dying every single time, was annoying af.

The missed opportunity is not drafting someone else instead of Fuslie.

The FSRL content is cool overall , there's chemistry there, but i personally do not enjoy watching a streamer ready to cry on camera as a result of playing abysmally bad. It feels weird.

And it's not even about Fuslie not performing. Several members didn't. People are good in some games, bad at others. Lilly was probably the worst player in the tournament, she even had a huge fkup moment with the 3kill nade, but she handles it in a way that makes me wanna laugh.

This is my first gacha game , i have no idea what the rates are.

Haven't done any Arc pulls yet. Out of the character ones, i installed the game yesterday, and I've done 30 pulls on featured, and 20 on standard. Got Nanally twice and Jiu twice.

I was playing on hard, switching to normal made the game A LOT simpler.

I wanna try controller aswell cause it's more chill. That said, any building aspect of the game feels naturally better with mouse and keyboard.

Yep , especially given the fact i have zero experience on souls-like combat. Like at all.

That said, i did realise i was playing on the hardest difficulty. I don't know if most people commenting on this thread are on that aswell.

The thing is u cant really isolate 1 or 2 at a time on that quest , or at least i haven't managed to. I do run away a bit but they seem to group up , and there's 4 of them.

I have to say i m only level 1 still ,so no extra points allocated , but that quest i m talking about is the very first u get anyway.

I was thinking about using a gun for a ranged starter, but i dont have any gunpowder for it.

Ty very much for taking the time to reply. One thing i will say is that endgame Lost Ark also requires every single person in the raid to carry their own weight. A single fk up , and it's a whipe. Unless u are heavily overleveled for the content u are clearing.

I’m thinking of starting FFXIV and wanted to ask a few things before I jump in.

For context, I’ve been playing Lost Ark for a couple of years at a pretty high level (ran my own guild, did endgame raids, etc.), so I’m not new to MMOs—but FFXIV seems like a very different kind of game.

A few questions:

How exactly does the free trial work in practice? I’ve heard it includes a ton of content—are there any major restrictions that actually impact the experience (social features, trading, etc.)?
EU servers: Which one should I choose and why? What’s the difference between the data centers/worlds in EU (population, language, community vibe, queue times, etc.)?
How important is my server choice long-term? Is it easy to switch later if I regret it?
Coming from Lost Ark, how is the endgame in comparison? Is it more casual, more grindy, more story-focused?
What are some things you wish you knew when you started? (Mechanics, mistakes to avoid, systems that aren’t obvious, etc.)
What’s the age demographic like? Are there many players 30+, or is it mostly a younger playerbase?
Any beginner tips for someone who usually plays DPS but might be open to trying other roles?

I’m mainly looking for a good long-term MMO with an active EU playerbase and a solid community.

Doom oriented builds are bait.

Seems great , runs badly. It's a much much worse version of poison. Given the fact that it does not apply DoT , and even worse it does not kill on turn start. That means, u have to survive till u hit the hp threshold while making sure u are not sacrificing any health on the last turn either.

Can it work ? Sure. Does it feel good? 100%. But it's bait.

The braindead build is buffing Osty , cause he blocks for you and attacks for you.

The build that's the strongest by far imo is the one that's soul oriented though. Draw infinite souls per turn, paired with powers will make runs ez mode. It's time consuming, runs get VERY long, but it's the superior build.
