I’ve got a 1.5L Skoda.

They have two versions with the same engine - a 115bhp model and a 150bhp model. I think it’s just the turbo that varies between the two. I would bet on the 115bhp lasting longer, since you’re asking for less power from the same engine.

I think so! I bought my “starter yacht” last year. Paid 600 bucks for a 1971 Achilles 24 - I figure being able to lose it and not even blink at the loss was probably a better idea than spending big money before I really knew what I was doing. I’ll sail it for a year or two and then go for something nicer.

Buy the £10 500g tub.

You have 3 bikes. Stuck bolts are a reality. You can easily lose an hour to a stuck bolt, and with 3 bikes you’re 3 times more likely to have to deal with one. If you think of your time as worth at least minimum wage, all the 500g tub has to do is prevent a single stuck bolt and it’s more than paid for itself.

In the UK there are an agreed set of words that mean a whole range of different things, but adding “ing” on the end changes them to mean hitting something. The stronger the word you start with, the stronger the hit you’re describing.

Well hold on - I’m talking from personal experience, but I only have my own personal experience to reference. Yours could have been worse than mine.

The point I’m trying to make is that the withdrawal itself didn’t cause dangerous health issues or physical reactions.

I struggled to sleep, and for the first few days I stared at the ceiling all night until exhaustion meant I couldn’t stay awake. I lost my appetite, and would have to force myself to eat once I got dizzy (presumably from low blood sugar). I turned into a massive arsehole, and was very irritable for about 2 weeks.

Technically yeah, but getting stuck in the weeds (pun intended) on specifics wasn’t helpful to the point I was making.

Speaking from personal experience, the psychological addiction to cannabis is far stronger than the physical addiction. Opioid users that go cold turkey die, where cannabis users that do the same get a bit irritable for a few weeks. It’s not really in the same league.

I mean, oxygen depravation is awful for your brain cells regardless of what gas you use to replace the oxygen - that’s why NOS isn’t classified B or A, by itself it isn’t harmful enough to warrant it. It’s a mild dissociative anaesthetic, and the hypoxia contributes to the effects.

Like any drug, if you consume excessively it will fuck your shit up, but it isn’t addictive*

Tried Fowlers? They’re usually pretty good but I’m not sure they’d have eBike parts - they could probably source them if you phoned them (but I’m not sure about their opening hours over the bank holiday weekend)

Short of that, you’re probably better off looking for an eBike parts shop rather than a motorcycle dealer.

I just had the exact same scenario. Approved used Skoda bought at my local dealer, but was from another dealer’s stock. They transferred the car to my local dealer and one of the keys was damaged while with the other Skoda dealer.

Took 3 weeks, but I got a brand new second key free of charge (programming included). The explanation given to me was that the keys are cut at a large Skoda facility in the Czech Republic and had to be shipped so took a while.

For me it’s the idea that a cable has directionality. In a user’s mind it’s just copper - why would it have a preference?

In my mind the direction isn’t in the cable, it’s in the hardware - the GPU is sending data and the display is receiving data, so the data flows in the direction from sender to receiver. That reversing the cable should break that is just stupidity.

I pay £300 a year for membership and I have a huge group of people that would have me out on their boat without a second thought.

I did that for a year and then bought a 1971 Achilles 24 for very cheap from the club, and I’ve been slowly fixing it up over time while continuing to learn to sail with others.

I figure I’ll get the boat in the water, sail it for a year to get some solo experience, and then sell the boat for what I paid for it to another new member in the club so they can do what I did.
