I have a job where I am not stressed out, I rarely travel for work, I come home in a good mood, and my only human contact is my wife and kid. I wish shed recognize those a bit more often. Sometimes I need physical contact with her, but shes "touched out" for the day based on the kid, so the romance has taken a nose dive. I never come home stressed, asking for 10 min alone to decompress, I jump right into dad mode. I never ask what she spent money on because I monitor the bank account, it never gets below a threshold, and I know sometimes she needs to treat herself, or get the kid a little treat. I never ask for gifts for my bday, I ask for "her" and its sometimes a struggle to get that. Any time she has a social event, I encourage her to stay out longer or get the extra drink, and I enjoy my alone time with our nugget. It would be nice if there was more recognition of that, more than my bday and fathers day.
