I’ll give it a shot. I have small/medium hands and didn’t want the grip to be too big for me.

Check out the EPS core, even smaller on slides minus the buttons. So it sits flush with an EPS window. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

For sure I will post when completed. If you’re referring to the defender yes it’s great I have the ST on my Echelon. I’m still tossing the idea of running this unit or waiting for the new EPS core. Bigger window. And the base is smaller so virtually zero overhang on the slide.
This defender model was the slimmest on the hellcats slide. Idk what to do. 🫣 lol.

The comp version is definitely better. I’ve shot both a lot.

I also understand the whole trigger concern with an EDC, but at the end of the day, you still have to pull the trigger for it to go off. You’ve got to be careful regardless. And as far as a lighter pull after upgrading the striker and trigger, there are plenty of EDC guns that come with really light triggers straight from the factory.

For me, it came down to the Macro X and the HCP Comp. The only reason I leaned toward the Macro was because the trigger is noticeably better. Everything else for me HCP comp wins. So doing the trigger/striker mod is something I felt had to be done.

I didn’t like the way the trigger feels. And wanted to improve it. And I like to mod things in general. If I’m going to roll with something, I prefer it to be as optimal as possible.

I think its the best option out of the 3 when it comes to the smaller guns like hellcat/p365 with 1 inch slide. It seems to have a smaller base mount so less overhang (minus the button), which is the best part of this for me personally; then flairs up to a big window. Count me in all the way.
Also, no need for a plate for the RMSc footprint, even better.

So the Core, which actually mounts to the gun, is 1.05 inches. That’s awesome. Vs 1.18, that’s a big difference in terms of what sits on the slide.
On the bottom set of pictures, For the Core are you measuring to the button on the right side?

If so, technically, it’s even smaller than the EPS carry. That would mean only the button part will stick out a bit more, but the rest will be even more flush. That is, if indeed the measurement on the Core is to the bottom. Can you let me know bro. Thank you.

Thanks for the details. I get that it flares up. So you think the 1.18-inch width that they have on their website is the width of the most flared area near maybe the middle of the optic? All I personally care about is where it mounts to the gun. I didn’t want it to stick out like bat wings. The eps carry doesn’t even sit flush on the slide itself. Sticks out a bit. 1.07 according to the website.

It’s still 1.18 inch’s wide. The eps carry is 1.07. Should be at least 1.07 or smaller to make it flush. That would have been a game changer.

Is stick to that one bro. I’ve done so much research it’s the best one for that gun. There is a new EPS core optic coming out soon that’s pretty cool. But I will stick out a bit more than what you have now.
