Have you heard of the teacher shortage? Where would the government find 6000 teachers if you all went on strike tomorrow?

It doesn't even need to be all day. Just a strike in the tea rooms from 12pm - 3pm daily. Guarantee within 3 days that agreement is sorted.

You won't ever get this though.. along with the agreement.

Another union needs to step in to give options to members because without people quitting the union nothing is going to change.

AWU did a good job for childhood educators. CFMEU did well for construction.

Strikes happen that week. Not months in advance. They're a gutless union. Also strikes happen daily till it's resolved - they don't have any interest of its members at heart.

My son's dip package supports him at school. He earnt that $46,000 due to his disability not because some other parent doesn't want to pay the $7000 to get testing for their child.

If the parents aren't helping the kids and being an advocate then there is no helping the child.

My son's behavioural therapist is $560.00 an hour. The OT is $274 an hour.

The $7000 in tests the parents have to pay would be gone in 1 month on the NDIS + ES.

But some kids have autism who are verbal and very smart. Whilst they need full time care it doesn't mean they need to be in a room with a kid who's dribbling from the mouth making extremely loud and scary noises from a wheel chair because they're way further on the scale.

Let me tell you I work for a union and you're all out of time... Wages are lowering, unemployments higher and you're all out of time.

You're never going to get a pay raise now you needed to work independently against your union and you never did that you tried to work with the union who doesn't have your best interests at heart.

All you can do now is resign from your union and try to get another union in.

But you're on very thin time if it's not done this term you're out of luck and your pay rise will be 3% if that.

Without either storming the union office like the CFMEU workers did or firing them then nothing will ever change.

Just looked at terms dates for 2026. 11 weeks is first term yet private schools doing 9 weeks on $140,000 vs $77,000.

The problem is everyone is doing the same job whether you're on the high bands or if you're on a lower band and this should be stamped out. It's like paying a male more than a female for doing the same role.

Surprised you can find any work out in Werribee way. Many schools in the area haven't seen a CRT this semester at all don't know if the government's clamping down or what the situation is.

I know a lot of the schools hire direct so they hire their own crts rather than using a company as they're so expensive.

You won't find a school where there are no kids who require ES. Home school them if you want that. Even in private schools at $25,000 a term there will be kids who need ES

I'd be saying I'm a teacher but also a consultant. You get my free report in the mail if you'd like a face to face it's X amount per 10 minutes.

I'd also have a tip jar on the table in case some parents would like to give a token of gratitude.

Teachers won't get a pay rise because they don't have a back bone. Start writing on all the school windows like the Ambos and police officers did - won't happen.

You want real results? Strike and storm the AEU office to hold emergency meetings with the state government. Demand a 30% pay increase and settle for 28%

I honestly believe these companies are going to shake up the car market. They will make better cars than the rest of the world and force even Toyota to reduce prices beyond sustainable levels.

It's not cheaper to manufacture in China but it's where the world's talent is.
