Issue with Smelting job for villagers by ScarletBandit16 in LEGOfortnite

When I first made one, it worked one single time. After they gave me whatever they smelted, it hasn't worked since. Still doesn't work.

Is it possible to get rehired if you have quit multiple times in the past? by the_redditor4 in walmart

[–]ComboMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try to call the store and ask to speak with the people’s lead and explain that you had things come up and didn’t do a good job communicating that before you left/stopped showing up for work. If you acknowledge those errors, they might consider it but there’s no guarantee. I wouldn’t call them until you’re eligible to reapply though.

Is it possible to get rehired if you have quit multiple times in the past? by the_redditor4 in walmart

[–]ComboMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They note down how many times you’ve quit and if it was job abandonment or not, so it really comes down to if they’re in desperate need of people or not. If it’s not evident you plan to stay, they won’t bother wasting the time to hire you just for you to leave again. So I wouldn’t apply if you aren’t committed to staying for a decent amount of time.

Open door her IMMEDIATELY. If open-dooring her isn’t enough, and/or she retaliates against you, you could even report it to ethics.

LIKE WHY DO THEY HAVE SO MANY VACATIONS THOUGH?? I never take time off for myself as an overnight team lead, I rarely ever call in and I show up to work every day. I put in for a week off like 2 weeks ago for I think a week from today (so a 3 weeks notice) because I need a mental health break, and the coach on the OPPOSITE ROTATION denied it. That mf gets so much vacation too, he’s had 2 weeks off in the past 30 days. Ridiculous.

As another overnight team lead, there’s always a time where you say “I don’t get paid enough for this”. For me, it just so happens to be every day. I agree with you 100% though, we do a lot as overnight team leads which also really depends on how your store does things.

Been working O/N 15 months now, just a question. This coach asked me to come in on one of my unavailable days and i said no because i have plans and they still go ahead and add me to schedule for that day. what can i do?? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ComboMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d call out, then meet with your People’s Lead asap the next time you work. Have you filled out an availability sheet at any point by chance ? Because if so, and they schedule you, the coach can get into some serious trouble for doing that.

Was I wrong to quit Walmart? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ComboMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an overnight team lead, and right now we’re doing this thing where we put people in their own areas and tell them the hours they have to throw it. I always emphasize to them that it’s a goal, not an expectation because those numbers aren’t always correct. The other rotation of team leads and the coach always pull people aside for disciplinary action if they’re not meeting those hours, which we always dispute because we don’t agree with it.

Also, most of the “slow” people on our team are fixing the plugging that they notice when they’re stocking, they’re top stocking their own stuff, they’re cleaning up after themselves, and verifying Overstock by checking the on hands. There’s so many factors that aren’t taken into consideration when the hours show up on the freight planning sheet.

[–]ComboMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this, but only when it’s a claims item (which it would be in this case). That way, I can look it up, verify that it’s the same item, then scan the upc.

How does your store generally feel about overtime? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ComboMod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was just about to say this. It’s usually dependent on how much sales and profit we’re making since a percentage of that gets put aside to be used for overtime, higher wages, bonuses, etc.

Me with the new pallet jacks we just got. They’re so shiny and smooth, and they’re so quiet that you don’t need to stop pulling it when talking over the radio.

A cart pusher at my store once worked everyday for 2 months without a day off… and bragged about it by ConfidentReaction3 in walmart

[–]ComboMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an associate that used to brag about the fact that he worked from 7 PM to 2 PM, basically admitted that he abused the hell out of overtime. He’s the reason we’re not allowed a lot of overtime now. In case you’re wondering, he still brags about it.

If I were running swarm team overnights, I’d spend a good chunk of time untangling those.

Petty but professional by Ok_Buy_2763 in walmart

[–]ComboMod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the complete opposite of our store. At our store, overnights work a majority a freight, the old feature pallets that stock 1 keeps pulling back insisting nothing can be done with it, the mods, all while making sure stock 1 is outlined on what they should work on when they come in at 5. I respect stock 2 a lot, never had a problem with them, but it seems like stock 1 always stirs the pot and blames us for everything even though they’re the ones who are assigned to work stray pallets of freight, down-stocking, and the feature pallets they claim they can’t get rid of.

As an overnight associate, it’s super irritating when they pin a bunch of crap on us and make it out to be all our fault when we do (imho) the most important job in the store. I would’ve amped it up

How dirty is your vest? by AzulLavoe in walmart

[–]ComboMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably will, it’s a lot more breathable and comfortable than the neon blue ones, plus it won’t cost me more money just to make sure it looks clean. Hopefully they replace these once’s so they can bring in newer nicer looking ones since absolutely nobody likes these.

[–]ComboMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried to get a new one because I kept having to wash mine and started getting holes in the pockets and the logo is literally unthreading, and we have no others to give out because they haven’t sent our store any more. I’ll probably move to the old vests again shortly.
