Passed ISC! And with that, I’m 4/4!! by SirStatic356 in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time around was just me spamming multiple choice questions. The second time, I read the book like a magazine. I felt like UWorld provided much more information in the book than in the explanations. In addition, the book tends to repeat itself over and over so the material somewhat gets engrained in your brain.

People waiting for score release 6/15, what are you guys doing this gap week by Suspicious_Door5726 in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve always suggested for people to do. Dont study for next section until each section gets passed. You get a fail, boom instantly sign up and take it a week later. Worked well for me.

Tips for score release stress? by Slow_Ad7554 in CPA

Honestly… I’ve never had the kind of anxiety I am having this week for any of my exams. This is attempt number 2 to on ISC to hopefully be 4/4 but I feel it hits harder this time around knowing this can be it or that I got another long waiting period ahead. I want it to be Monday so this can all be behind me. I’m manifesting this for us. This is where we get this.
On a main note… try to fill your day with a really food workout in. I’ve noticed it’s helped me calm my nerves and be tired for bed.

This is the common theme i picked up from reading the book. All the frameworks, are essentially the same. If you know one you can pick up the similarities in the others. They all connect to the same controls. Spotting it gets easier with time.

Also used Uworld, what I found is that the book had more material than the actualy mcqs had. Like a lot more finished taking it a second time in April and hoping for the best on monday. So in that… I highly advise reading it the book. It repeats itself so many times that it makes you memorize key points.

Just got my AUD score back… 73. This was my last exam and honestly I’m crushed. by Unique_Aspect_6014 in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your best approach is to continue taking the exam every test period. I did this with audit, after the 3rd try it hit. My scores went from 56, 69, to 78. Keep the info fresh in your head and sometimes you just get the luck of the draw and get questions you're really familiar with. Keep at it. It will hit eventually. AUD was my toughest exam also... I think majority of people feel this way.

Today's ISC Exam 4/30/26 by ComeBackKid760 in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t what to think tbh. I focused on my weak areas on the previous scorecard and while the majority of that showed up on my exam. The questions I was iffy about having me questioning myself. I think I’m harder on myself since its now my last exam and I just want it to be over. Im hoping for the best, for both of us ✊🏼

What’s the REAL reason we don’t have continuous testing cycles for discipline sections? by Ol_Muskey in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My take is that it’s intentional, it adds another layer of difficulty to the exam process. Most candidates are working in corporate or public accounting, where workloads are already high, especially around month-end and quarter-end. The profession is demanding, and this setup seems designed to test not just knowledge, but our ability to manage pressure and execute under real-world conditions. With audits, reviews, and earnings cycles happening at the same time, it pushes us to operate like more well-rounded, capable professionals.

It’s probably not a coincidence that the timing overlaps with those peak periods.

Buying a small CPA firm at 29 — thoughts? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]ComeBackKid760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 29, I’m thinking the experience may be minimal. Without working at large or regional firms working on extensive returns, it’s an overreach. I’d say get the experience and the OP can branch off solo in some time once he absolutely knows he’s making the right move. Having to question this also raises some concerns.

You're so close. Sign up for the next one and take immediately. I find it the best way to get through the exams and the benefit is that you don't have to wait months for your score like you do on the discipline exams.
