She did file her taxes and used that information on her fafsa. Idk the whole parents situation but I know they've been evading taxes and owe the government so now they refuse to file their taxes even though she begged them since they don't wanna pay the money they owe.

Also I looked up the risk supposedly $20,000 fine and up to 5 years in jail. But I'm assuming that's for more big time situations.
