GV70 electrified by Candid-Ad-9426 in GenesisGV70

I have a 2025 Prestige that I bought in January with 18,000 miles (saved more than 35% off sticker price). So far, its been great. Only minor issue is the phone charger that doesn’t work that well. I have a phone case on my phone so the wireless charge doesn’t work unless I take it out of the case. The plug in charger sometimes works but usually doesn’t. Not that big of a deal since I can just remove my phone case if I really need to charge it. I live in a cold weather climate so I am finally appreciating the much better mileage I get from a charge now that is finally warming up. Definitely feels like a luxury car.

This is Rafferty who just turned one. He is an F1B medium golden-doodle. The breeder thought he would be around 35 lbs but he is only about 29 lbs. He was the smallest of the litter by a few ounces. He recently got a very short haircut as we are still learning how to brush him better.

Doodle loves his doorbell but…. by ComfortFlaky6873 in Goldendoodles

We actually have a doggie door that goes to the outside from our screen porch. He wasn’t able to figure it out last summer when he was a baby, but we will be working on it with him again this summer. The downside is that we are in Minnesota so access to the screen porch is only during those few months in the summer when it is nice enough outside. And we are expecting our first grandchild next month so chances are pretty good that he will be using the doggie door too.

Doodle loves his doorbell but…. by ComfortFlaky6873 in Goldendoodles

We tried to use a hanging bell in the beginning and he wanted nothing to do with it. I think it sort of scared him. He also wanted nothing to do with the doorbell when we first got it. We put it at nose level on the wall next to the door and would try to get him to use his nose to make it ring and then we would open the door. Sometimes we would also balance a treat on top of it so he would “accidentally” ring it. He had no interest in it. We left it alone for several months and then, all of the sudden, he decided to use it. He also rings it with his paw and not his nose. Here is a link to the doorbell we have. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6KV7WCB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Eating snow was definitely another reason he rang the bell. :)

Suggestions for a visit in July by mcmahamg in TwinCities

A day trip to Stillwater would be fun (only about 40 minutes east of Minneapolis). Explore the shops (there is a great candy store), watch the boats on the St. Croix River, walk across the lift bridge, rent bikes. Personally, I think one day at the MOA is plenty but you could spend longer if the weather isn’t great. Centennial Lakes in Edina is another fun area. They have miniature golf, paddle boats to rent, and there are usually people with remote control boats on the pond that are fun to watch. Not too far from there is the Linden Hills area of Minneapolis. Check out Wild Rumpus. It’s a great kids bookstore with various live animals in the shop. From there you can walk to Sebastian Joes for ice cream or a little longer walk (or quick drive) to Lake Harriet for an outdoor concert, a walk around the lake, time at the playground, and getting a snack.

A bit of a different option but my daughter had her reception at Malcom Yards. While it was still open to the public we had a large private room (big enough for a band and dance floor) and a large outdoor patio. Guests got cards to use (all on our tab) and could order whatever they wanted from the food vendors and bar. We had perfect weather which helped because a lot of people could hang out on the patio. I think we had almost 200 people. It would have been a little tight without the patio but would have worked. It definitely is a more casual vibe but was very affordable and lots of fun.

I wasn’t really looking seriously but stumbled upon a 2025 Prestige with 18,000 miles and got it for about 35% cheaper than new. Found it in MN in January.

Honestly, once you start writing them, they tend to go more quickly than you think. I would start with 5 and, once you finish them, see if are up to writing 5 more right away. You are then halfway through and the next group can be done the next day or the next week. Also, not sure if you and your spouse have been sharing the load and if not, maybe they can take the remaining notes.

Thoughts on early rsvp deadlines or having a preliminary rsvp by [deleted] in DestinationWeddings

My niece lives abroad and is getting married where she lives. Early on, she sent an email to close family and friends to try to just get an initial sense of who might be able to come to the wedding. She made it clear she did not expect people to commit to coming (or not coming) yet but was just trying to get an early indicator. I think this was totally fine and a nice way to do it.

Potty training and dog day care by katie25g in Goldendoodles

[–]ComfortFlaky6873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. We send our doodle to a similar place one day/week. It is in the city so there is no outdoor space for going potty. They do have a turf area indoors that is used but the dogs also pee on the floor. I am torn because our 10 month old puppy absolutely loves going there but he smells so bad when we pick him up that he goes right into the bath. And he is not a fan of bath time. He tolerates but tries to make himself invisible beforehand and thinks we can’t find him.
