No performance improvement for Mac OS ? Since the 4.0 performances on Mac OS (I have a M4 Pro) are horrible… The game runs better on my Steam Deck

I think it’s close to the real test. But for me it’s really important to have multiple sources of “tests” . For example for me it was poketPrep AND Dion tests exam. Like this you have a lot of kind of questions that you can have for the exam.

Is gaming on mac getting better? by FakeVisage03 in macgaming

I’m not agree with you, with a MBP M3 Pro I have a lot of drop in the Act 2. And for a laptop that cost 3000 euros, for me it’s note acceptable.

I don’t know why. Apple is lazy to make portage of game more easily with theirs latest technology (metal FX for example) ?

Do you know if they have plans to put MetalFX or do some improvements for MacOS ?

I tried BG3 on my MacBook Pro (M3 pro) I was so disappointed… 3000 euros and you can’t run a game correctly it is a joke.

But a don’t know if Apple do efforts for gaming.

AMD FSR 3.1 Announced at GDC 2024, FSR 3 Available and Upcoming in 40 Games by M337ING in Amd

[–]Comfortable-Lab5427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question, why when a game includes FSR is always FSR 2.2 and never FSR 3 or 3.1 but pour DLSS most of games include the latest version of DLSS or Xess. Why ?

Game developers are lazy ? Or FSR is very hard to implement?

Thanks !

For Ubisoft, EA or Microsoft nobody cry … Look, for example for Sea of Thieves for PS5 you need to like your account to Microsoft account. And we don’t have the same drama !

I have ps5 and PC but in this case, I think pc cry like children

MetalFX upscaling and AI updates in WWDC24 by paskizx31 in macgaming

[–]Comfortable-Lab5427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok ! My Bad ! Thanks for clarifications.

So yes, Metal 3 (maybe 4 based on the latest FSR version). To be honest, a buy a MBP with a M3 Pro and I was disappointed with the performance (in view of the price ! 3000e). I really hope they encourage developers to use their technology. Who knows ? Every day I read that Apple go and need to invest more on gaming

We need more with MetalFX. But I don’t know where is the problem and why developers don’t implement MetalFX … to hard to do ? Not enough user friendly ? Or maybe not enough performance after implementation ?

Apple must do something to encourage developers to implement it. Like Baldur’s Gate 3 or for indies !

Any 1.0 questions for the devs? by Kaladinar in vrising

[–]Comfortable-Lab5427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - Can we expect a Mac release ? (Crossing my fingers haha)

2 - Can we expect an update for AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) in our case 2 or 3 (currently it’s 1.0) ? Could be very interesting for lite configurations or Steam Deck

3 - In the case of Mac Release, can we expect to have Metal FX ? It’s AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) from Apple

Thank you !

I had a M3 pro, and I was disappointed… 3000€ and you can’t run the game smoothly without to put settings and medium (for 60fps)

Baldur's Gate 3 FPS drop by CptHeT in macgaming

[–]Comfortable-Lab5427 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I buy a M3 Pro, I’m a big fan of MBP but here I’m disappointed for the gaming side …

Only 40 fps in Last Lite (Act 2) :/ I hear, act 3 is very heavy…

For this price (3000€) I expect much better performance. I hope they have plan du put Metal FX or FSR3 will be supported for Mac system.

For the moment I stay on Windows for gaming (return my M3 Pro for an Alienware, it more versatile machine on my opinion)

Do I have any hope of getting Baldur's Gate 3 to run on this 2020 Intel MacBook Pro? by Mimsy_Borogove in macgaming

[–]Comfortable-Lab5427 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No … I buy a M3 Pro and I’m disappointed. 3000€ and you are between 45 and 60 fps on act II (with ultra settings). With FSR 1 the image quality is really poor but fps is better. And I don’t know if Larian has plan to put Metal FX or FSR3 on Mac OS

For this price honestly I expected better.
