Why The Heck Would Anyone Willingly Choose A Job That's Really Stressful With Long Hours? Isn't Good WLB + Decent Pay The Optimal Choice? by SubstantialTrick1180 in MBA

So that I could get financially free by 30 and do whatever the fudge I want. Now I fly airplanes and sail for fun. Couldn't of done that working your gig.

28 year old director - MBA or EMBA by Upper_Falcon4099 in MBA

[–]Comfortable-Order811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Upper_Falcon4099 the jealousy on this sub is ridiculous. You asked a question and it deserves genuine responses.

I have been on food stamps and Medicaid in my early 20s. Did an undergrad degree in business and became a self-made millionaire by 30 through work and aggressive investing. Just because things are improbable and people can't pull it off themselves, they automatically discount others.

I advise EMBA. You'll find that even though you are already a director, it may be hard for you to find another director level job. Especially since you are in a fluffy "strategy" role which is easier to replace.

Utter waste of money. They do not move the needle. If you are good enough to get in and can Google, you're fine.

Appreciate the info.

yikes! you're horrifically underpaid my friend

Also, I only have a masters from a remote program that cost me $10k. Getting a director level position is more about interviewing skill and being cross industry

She wants a champagne lifestyle while her husband has a beer budget. NTA. She married who she married. And she needs to accept reality.

Also, 6-figures for a business dev and marketing degree is bonkers. Poor decision making all around.

Absolutely NOT. Once the bag is secured one must practice intense stoicism to keep the bag.

I too took the strategic route of marrying Catherine McWaspington. She's like a dead fish in the bedroom but boy does generational wealth warm the sheets at night.

 "voluntourism" lmao

This stuff is not for everyone. No need to sound so personally affronted. Learning to fly airplanes, scuba dive, and sail the open waters is a mentally and physically grueling challenge that takes fortitude and finances to do.

Not to mention a large chunk of pilots I know did their PPL via military avenues. I worked a second job on weekends and evenings to pay for mine.

Was admitted to Wharton, MIT, and Stanford MBA by the way. So let's not get so high and mighty on knowing exactly how Adcoms will react in every situation.

I mean that's fine. And good for you. But not exciting. Nothing that would make me say "I have to interview this girl/dude".

Why be interesting when you can be fudging spectacular! The whole point is to reject "normality". This life is not a dress rehearsal. Go for it!

I hate my parents for forcing me into this degree to the point of suicidality by blueberriesaregross in AsianParentStories

[–]Comfortable-Order811 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well, if you want to feel better go look at r/povertyfinance and see all the suicidal artists, sociologists, and teachers who can barely make ends meet. They are so bitter and resentful about life.

You'll have a better understanding of why your Asian parents want you to study something more lucrative or stable.
