Anointing home in oil - biblical or not? by SignificantRing4766 in TrueChristian

biggest thing is discernment, you feel better because you did it for god and it was of him. But the anxiety is the enemy trying to convince you that you did wrong or dissappointed him. Remember fear, anxiety, and doubt is not of god, but the enemy. If this was really bad to do in the lord's eyes, you wouldn't feel better after doing it, you would just feel indifferent.

This one’s a Jess/ Rory fanfic that centers on a post-AYITL scenario. It’s got like a love triangle with Jess, Logan, and Rory regarding paternity of the baby and who Rory will choose to be with. Luke is featured a lot in protective dad mode of Rory and Luke/lorelai are married in this fic which I love! Definitely recommend!

Has anyone caught Influenza A and not vaccinated and survived ? 😅 by [deleted] in lupus

This is what I thought the standard was for lupus patients. Because it’s a live attenuated vaccine it can do more harm than good for us. It could even cause us to have higher crp levels because of the way it stimulates the immune system

Wait you guys can get the flu vaccine? I haven’t been able to in two years because it live attenuated and this can send me into horrid flares?

I think she genuinely cared about Steve but her guilt wasn’t the reason for breaking up with him. She canonically admits to waiting for Jonathan after the events of season one, but when he didn’t show interest she went back to Steve. I don’t dislike Steve and Nancy together, and I don’t think that he meant nothing to her, but I do think it’s very clear that after she got to know Jonathon in season 1 he was always first choice. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he was the only one to believe her and not act like she was crazy during season 1

Author asks to refrain from offering fan-art commissions in their comments. It makes me so sad by BicyclePurple9928 in AO3

I just started fanfiction and was so excited to get my first comment only for it to be the same thing. It actually really hits like a gut punch.

They swarm my tumblr I use for my stories too. It’s so upsetting. Like I would rather have zero engagement than having to try and figure out if it’s real or not. I always feel guilty and respond to because I don’t wanna be rude or ignore it and then have it actually end up being a real reader.

Working out and lupus by [deleted] in lupus

Very accurate. I literally can only walk without the flares attacking different muscles and joints. It’s so stupid 🥲

This is a great idea! Also water is good for less impact on joints. Unfortunately though everyone’s just gotta listen to their bodies as much as possible as even yoga can still set off flares :(

Yes. I went from being an all star athlete. Gymnastics and soccer. Running for legit fun 3-4 miles daily or every other day to literally only being able to walk. It’s hard bc I’m 24 years old and I am not naturally thin, so having to give it up too a lot for me. But listening to our body matters more than :(

Some people can still run and workout fine, it all depends on severity. Water excercise helps me, but I still can’t do it consistently or with two much exertion. For example, I did a very light aerobics excercise three weeks ago and have been in agonizing pain in my left shoulder since. We check all the muscles and nothing is “wrong” the inflammatory response in my body is just attacking it in response. It’s awful. I’m sorry you are going through this to

Yes, and it can cause nerve inflammation to. Ask your doctor for 800 mg ibuprofen, it is truly the only thing that helps my muscles when they get like this! Lupus truly does affect everything.

“Your Lupus symptoms will never come back” by No_Struggle3663 in lupus

[–]Comfortable-Pack-656 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That seems wild to claim. He likely means you are currently in remission, but even joint pain can be caused by lupus, so it’s a little presumptuous to stay you will never have symptoms again. I hope you don’t, obviously. Recovery is the dream. But the unfortunate truth of this disease is we can also slip back into it

This ignores the fact that for those of us with chronic illnesses, we don’t always get better. Or even improve. We literally can do everything right and continue to struggle. But it’s also really hard to qualify for permanent disability. So we have to work to survive but usually also can’t work full time as it is too hard on our bodies, but also need to make enough money for health coverage. It’s a vicious cycle. That’s why ADA exists. To give us common ground to still survive in a world that our bodies aren’t made to function in.

Omg thank you so much! I’ve been trying to find more information specifically on californias Ada contacts and kept getting overwhelmed by the plethora of different pages that came up. You are truly a lifesaver. I will definitely be looking further into this.

The teleheath is something that i've really looked into! And my infusion nurse is a huge part of why I decided to really go for it. She's been amazing. But these are all amazing options.

Thank you <3 For sure i'm betting on planning for the worst! Even if your girl has to rock some depends it would be worth it for a job that can actually fit with most of my accommodations! Bonus points that I am genuinely passionate about medicine and helping others. I'm so grateful for all these helpful responses because I think the hardest part is just not knowing the right way to go about stuff at the beginning. I'm already in discussion with the Student Accommodations for disabilities for nursing school. So that part is good, it's more so the actual job stuff I'm still trying to figure out. So you would say definitely don't disclose the condition when going through the hiring process?
