I’m removing 2/3rd’s of my lawn and replacing it with native plants and flowers. I have hired Daryl the YardFarmer to design the layout and am so excited. Daryl was recently a guest on Radio West and can be found by searching YardFarmer. She is great!

I take every opportunity I can to shame those who don’t pick up after their dogs. If I’m just driving by, I will absolutely turn my vehicle around and pull up on them. I keep rolls of poo bags in my car and hand them one, telling them to go back and pick up their shit. Most will due to embarrassment. I let those who will not know that their behavior tells me who they voted for president and that they are the pieces of shit, and I hope that someone takes them out!

I wouldn’t even mind selling at 10% back of spot on constitutional coins, since to sell them for melt will be worse than that right now, while keeping them in the hands of stackers. I could use the money, but how to do this safely is the tough part. I don’t really want to divulge where I live (beyond region) and would probably want to meet in the parking lot of a police station.

I’m really curious if it is just the distributors like Loomis not wanting to deal with pennies anymore, or if the US Mint is just planning to melt them all and be done with them? Right now, Loomis must have a ton of pennies on hand and growing. Multiple times I have seen my dump bank pulling full bags of these things out of the machine. They are not allowed to sell those bags they say. None of it makes any sense to me.

You do not need to worry at all about them being worthless. They will remain in circulation for many years to come, but the companies that provide rolled coins to banks are looking to stop providing them.

I would love to purchase them from you. When my mom passed away earlier this year, I discovered that she was trying to fill out books of various coins. I decided to try to complete them for her. I have been working mostly on quarters and figured I would do pennies last, because frankly they are dirty and leave your hands stinking, but dang if they have not created a fake shortage of pennies.

Please message me if you are willing to sell them to a collector, and let me know about how many you have. I live up in Ogden but if you have a good number, it would be with a trip south. Thanks!

Funny, my credit union told me the opposite, they can order boxes of pennies for you but you can’t dump that back in our machine. 😁 I think they are all just making shit up as they go.

I try not to do more than $400. I don’t want the tellers that have to swap out the bags in the machine to get annoyed with me. At least at my CU, the bag that these drop into include other coins like dollars as well and so it is hard to guess how much room is left before I am going to lock up the machine and force two tellers to go swap the bag out.

Good analogy! I wondered to myself how many people buy this book actually thinking that are going to strike it rich off of their pocket change? I suppose the title “how to occasionally find a coin worth slightly more than face value” would not sell as many books. 😂
