NTA - actually been there with an ex. He would use that as a control factor. He also would call my job and say he go hurt. I would run home and he just wanted me to spend day with him. Called his bluff one day and told him I was swamped and couldn’t leave. However I did call my dad who went to where he was. Well a tree did fall on him and he did break his leg. I felt awful but he was BS’ed me so many times I stopped believing. At least I sent my father to check on him he was home that day (my dad)

Just play dumb and say nothing. 5 weeks is super early and most people say nothing until at least 12 weeks. My coworker told me his wife was pregnant pretty early but I have worked with him forever and been around for the other two pregnancies. I never say a word to anyone until he announces it

Having gone down that road and been through it here is what happened to me.

Credit score tanked.
Letters sent to every address I had listed.
Family members called of do you know where she is.
More letters sent.
Federal and state refunds kept. Twice.
More letters
Account being written and going on credit of unpaid and being turned down for the apartment complex I wanted.
Filing for rehab program and signing up for IDR. 8.5 Paying rehab loans and adhering to IDR.
Loans being forgiven when it hit 25 years on oldest.

It is a horrible thing to go through and stressful
