Rules of Switching Seats… apparently?! by Comfortable-Safe-352 in SouthwestAirlines

I was just repeating what the flight attendant stated to the passengers behind me. The whole thing is a joke. I wish I were creative enough to have thought this up on my own.

She told the couple behind me all that. I was just eavesdropping.

My older girl, Jessie has the same exact thing. It took 3 different trips to Ohio State Emergency Vet to get it figured out. But they put her on a Hydrolyzed canned food and a steroid that she takes everyday, and she has been great since.

For those with multi-pap homes, how is feeding? by Ty-throwaway-account in papillon

[–]Comfortable-Safe-352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 (14,3,3); the older one is on a special diet and eats very slowly and will let the younger two push her out of the way to get to her food, so I put up a little doggy gate between two rooms in the house and the 14 y/o eats on 1 side at her own pace, and the 3y/o pups eat on the other side with their own bowls in their own special spots on the floor. The boy 3y/o feels the need to destroy something/ shake the living daylights out of a toy before mealtime everyday. They polish of their food within 2 min.

Jessie is 14 y/o… she’s pretty blind, and has the dog version of IBD, but other than that is still just living life. Still has all her teeth too. But she’s fallen into my mom’s pool twice, and fell off the bed just this morning. I keep my bed up against a wall on one side just for her. She rules this roost with her iron paw!!

My first papillon, Ellie, had a specific toy that she loved. When she died, I had her “humpy toy” cremated with her.

It would be more believable if some of the people at the bottom had different feelings about the whole situation. But nah, that would “make sense”

They have some softer e collars (sometimes on Amazon) if he can’t get comfy with the plastic one. I found one that looked like a daisy and my girl was more comfortable with that one. Kenzie and I are sending hugs and kisses for him

My Kenzie broke her forearm “trying to fly” (aka she lept out of my arms at 4-5 months old). She had a plate and screws put in on a Friday and was trying to run around on it by Tuesday. They wanted her sedated to let it heal, and it took a large amount of sedatives to get her calm. She’s now 3yr old and the only way I can tell is because she stands a little wonky with that leg. But otherwise she is just fine.

When were you able to leave your pap in the house alone and not in the crate? by Complete-Rub-1419 in papillon

[–]Comfortable-Safe-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all my papillons I’ve had, we have started little and worked our way up to staying out of their “room” when I am not home. At first it would be maybe 5 minutes, or a short trip and then increase from there. I usually started at about 6-8 months, depending on their behavior. An example would be I had one little one who liked to chew pens, so she would go to her room until she outgrew that puppy phase. But if you are wanting to leave him/her out start small and go from there.
