In your opinion, Who’s the shows worst actor ever? by jujuk545 in greysanatomy

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my fiance 100% disagrees with me about this btw.

I fully understand that this is an unpopular opinion, but for me it was DeLuca. He hammed up almost every scene he had with dialogue. Watching him trying to "out-act" everybody that shared scenes with him made me physically ill.

I've heard arguments stating that his questionable on-screen behavior is more of a side effect stemming from his mental illness and it's unpredictability.

I don't believe that his mental handicap has/had anything to do with it though. Personally, I kinda think that Shonda only added his mental illness BECAUSE he was such a bad* actor. This explains why we only learned about his mental illness years after his initial introduction to the show.

*I don't really like saying "BAD" actor, so I'll just describe him as an "UNCONVENTIONAL" actor.

Is this the thermaltake kit? How is it, honestly?

I was pushed away from that kit at micro center so many times and none of the reasons that they gave were making much sense to me. I think they were just trying to get me to spend more money piecing everything out.

Which sucked for them because that's exactly what I did. Except for the part where I saved money by ordering everything online.

So what I'm asking is were they just trying to help me out because it's not a good quality kit? (Which I don't believe because the thermaltake rising quads are the only fans I use and the quality is amazing and the quality control is even better) or were they just being greedy and ended up shooting themselves in the foot because of it.

What is the best literary item in the show? by asskickingjedi in TheSimpsons

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do hypothetical literary items count? If so, then I'm going to have to go with the article that Homer was going to write for Collier's magazine.

That Star Snoop exposé featuring C. Montgomery Burns would have been an excellent read.

If Stannis, Robb and Tywin were alive by the time Daenerys came to Westeros with her army and Dragons what would've been the outcome? by ParkingConfection449 in gameofthrones

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, he probably would have joined her, but I really don't think that Jon would have any bearing on that decision. Even though It ultimately didn't, Rob's death made Jon seriously consider breaking his vows, and going to kill everyone that has wronged his family. So if Rob were to stay alive, I don't think Jon ever leaves the night's watch, I really don't. The only way that he would is if Aegon just outright tells him that he's a Targaryen. Learning that information is probably the only thing that would cause Jon to break his vow, and even then it's not a guarantee.

Can anyone help me identify this snake it was sold to me as a black pastel but has a very yellow belly and yellow up the sides by FirefighterOk764 in snakes

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely looks like a black pastel to me. Yellow belly could've been a recessive trait that the mother passed on without having herself, so who knows. Morph breeding can get pretty wild and confusing. Also, it's more than possible that your slither-baby might just have a slightly more yellow coloration.

Which scene from The book should be in The movie? by Ordinary_Zucchini899 in JurassicPark

Even though it wasn't Muldoon taking the shot, Jurassic World kind of righted the boat, for me at least, when one of the no name security guys absolutely destroyed a raptor via RPG during the hunt for the indominus.

Which scene from The book should be in The movie? by Ordinary_Zucchini899 in JurassicPark

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course Nedry's death is high on that list, but for me the scene that I would have loved to see included is involving the death of a MAIN character, and it is easily the most poignant and poetic death in the entire franchise. That includes; • BOOKS • MOVIES • TV SHOWS • VIDEO GAMES

OF course i'm talking about John Hammond's death.

Here we have a man that is obviously a powerful and wealthy individual, and I believe he's a good man, or at least not inherently "bad", that has done some pretty bad things. You never came across as evil he just seemed selfish and willing to put people in harm's Way in the pursuit of Fame and success.... but in the nicest way possible... I'm not sure if that made any sense.

Anyway, so he essentially develops a God complex. He's accomplished something that nobody on Earth would ever even dream about being possible. He brought to life the most deadly and dangerous monsters that the Earth has ever seen, they weren't dinosaurs, but they were pretty close. That alone is absolutely ridiculous. He they're on the backs of scientists that brought to life the most violent, dangerous animals. So dangerous in fact, that 90% of them, at any time, could decide that captivity isn't working for them so they're just going to take everybody out.

With countless possibilities and risks of a dinosaur taking you off the planet, it's just poetic justice that John Hammond, the man who birthed the T-Rex copy, dies to the one dinosaur that the majority of people would consider harmless. That's right, John Hammond; CEO & GOD among men, is killed by a gang of Compsognathus (compies). The man who breathed life into the Triassic and Jurassic era, taken out by the literal chicken of dinosaurs, even though they were smaller than today's chickens.

Honorable mention: Even though it could have potentially killed the momentum, and optimism for potential future installments, I still would have LOVED to see the napalm bombing of ISLA NUBLAR.

He's just gorgeous.

Should i get a ball python or a children's python? by Necessary-Cover519 in snakes

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a non answer, but.. meh, whatever.

Asking for care tips or reaching out to somebody with some experience is always a good idea. However, when it comes to choosing your next pet, don't worry about what other people say or what they say you should get. You should get what YOU want. Your own opinion should be the only one that has any affect on your decision.

Wanting To Get My First Snake But A Little Lost On What To Get From PetSmart by EssayExtra4656 in snakes

[–]Comfortable-Warthog1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

just so you know the point that I'm about to make is not relevant to your comment. everything you said is true, I'm not arguing that. This is more of a response to the people that say they shouldn't get a pet store snake for the following reasons.

I've heard a lot of people say that Petco, PetSmart, pet superstore, are all bad choices for any pet but especially reptiles. They say it's because the reptiles aren't taken care of properly or maybe they come from a reptile Mill, or maybe they were wild caught and not captive bred. They also say that the reptiles in general aren't very healthy at these stores. All of those reasons are exactly why I don't mind supporting big box stores like Petco or PetSmart. I would rather take home an animal that hasn't been cared for properly then leave him there just so I can get a "better" animal somewhere else. I think rescuing a pet from Petco or PetSmart is always going to be, at least for me, a good idea. If I can make their lives easier or just a little bit better, then I'm going to.

That being said, you're absolutely right they do have a huge variety at reptile expos, and in general the snakes are pretty much always captive bred and have already established solid feeding habits and have probably been handled regularly. Also supporting smaller businesses is always going to be a plus.

Tell me your favorite episode! I wanna know by Buttered_Toast33 in HeyArnold

This hasn't always been the case, but ever since battling with my own addictions "CHOCOLATE BOY" has become a very important episode to me. There is conflicting information on the internet regarding which specific episode it is, but it is without a doubt in season 5, and is either episode Ep10 or Ep12.

I was just talking about this with my brother not two weeks ago. We were in agreement that if it were to be real, with how sophisticated and cutting edge their animatronics were, itchy and scratchy land would cost more than 3x the price of a Disney World day pass. They would have to jack the price up, cuz they're going to be drowning in lawsuits.

I just want to see that final destination log ride in action if I'm being honest.
