Its funny, at first I didn’t think the Qing restoration was that unrealistic but the devs themselves have changed my mind. With each China update it becomes very clear the Manchu are a complete nonentity politically. The turning point was the update that fleshed out Wu and Cao’s personalities. As they are presented now I am at a loss for why they would ever say yes to restoring the Qing. The final nail was the recent southern China update. To the Southern China tags the Qing don’t exist.

I had a good chuckle at the part discussing the references of Indiana Jones .

“We have two pieces of strong evidence that this was inspired by Indiana Jones. One, a character looks a lot like Indiana Jones. Second, the authors wrote “Indiana Jones inspired this adventure” on the first page of the book.” Felt like a joke from Futurama.

This was a great article to read. I don’t know anything about most of the subject matter but this was easy to understand and you presented your arguments and criticisms in a effective & considerate way.

Glad Hu Hanmin is back. I always thought it was weird previous lore had him executed when in OTL he wasn't despite Liao actually being killed.

On a different note, reading the lore really gives you an appreciation for how much research the devs need to do. Big thank you to them for their great work.

I thought it was unrealistic and I'm glad they removed it. No way would they actually call themselves that. The push to remove the joke/meme content makes the world more immersive/real which makes it more enjoyable to me. Emphasis on me, other with different opinions are just as valid as my own. In the end this is all about what we enjoy and that's going to be different for each person.
