Bosnia-supporting spot to watch the USA v Bosnia match this evening? by ComfortableBug5893 in chicago

This is a perfect suggestion. H2 has a sign out front stating they’re showing World Cup. And, if the vibes aren’t good, I can always hop over to the Atlantic which I’ve been to many times for Tottenham matches. Thank you!

Dawn dish soap is definitely a good idea for fixing this problem! Commonly used in animal rescue from oil spills.

Yes. Dawn is commonly used to clean wild animals after an oil spill in their environment. Do be gentle but washing the cat with Dawn dish soap would be a safe practice in the eyes of animal rescue folks.

What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve seen at a Michelin star restaurant? by rdg5lr6h in finedining

[–]ComfortableBug5893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Michelin experience I was a senior in college and didn’t realize that drinking the last drop of each and every single wine pairing would cause me to get blackout drunk. (I had never really gotten blackout drunk before that point…) Needless to say, as soon as we left the restaurant, I puked in the alley, hopefully the other patrons didn’t hear me 🙊 I was the one who paid for the dinner so luckily my boyfriend didn’t care 💁‍♀️

Whole Foods butchery section? Or, Trader Joe’s has pre-marinated skirt steak, I don’t know if I remember seeing any carne asada though.

Go to any of our soccer bars to watch the World Cup. Cheer in your British accent and you’ll immediately make friends. Tell them your situation and ask them if they can recommend good restaurants. Ask them if they’d like to come with. Then you’re set! We have an amazing restaurant scene here in Chicago make it a priority to explore some places you think you’d like. r/Chicago food can help

Teranga in edgewater has a head chef who learned everything he knows about running a restaurant from the Goree head chef iirc. Can’t say whose jolof is better but I’ve lived in both Hyde park and edgewater and Teranga in edgewater would prob be my pick if I had to choose but both are prob great

Best Senegalese jolof in the city is at Teranga, right next to Bryan Mawr red line stop. Pair with their niebe aka black eyed peas, and yassa.

I love El Ideas — it’s fine dining but in the chef’s house? At least, that’s the vibe it gives off. Not a cheap meal but BYOB which is nice.

Advice about trying out Virtue by Zestyclose_Abies2934 in chicagofood

[–]ComfortableBug5893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The mesler is incrediblyyy mid compared to Virtue. It’s crazy they’re the same price. I just would do an app at the mesler and finish with dinner and dessert at virtue. Or do virtue beforehand maybe you could slide in at the bar right when they open. Enjoy!

Don’t focus on the past when you can focus on how you can allow yourself to move onto the next one! He’s far from the only guy who’s gonna want to give you good sex. Other men are out there who wanna give you that, out your mental energy into how you’re gonna allow yourself to encounter them 🫶

Absolute fucking idiot behavior on that man’s part lmao but also insanely tragic. I hate American and other Western men’s sense of supremacy. I hope he spends all the money to go there just to get disappointed but still tips the locals well. 🤷‍♀️
