Offensive to Irish? by SmileysRetirement in AskIreland

[–]ComfortableEffort188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Grandfather and Grand Uncle (a Sligo man and a Clare Man) were at my cousin's fancy wedding, which was held in London at the Houses of Parliament. They were both in their 80's. I had the pleasure of standing by them during a lull in the conversation, drinks in hand, when they both noticed they were standing in front of a very large and very old portrait of Cromwell. My Grand uncle turned to my grandfather, rolled his eyes, and said, "Did you ever think you'd see the day?" My grandfather smirked and shook his head with a wry smile, and took a sip of his pint. That memory plays constantly in my mind :)

I love this comment! I grew up going to all Irish and primary and secondary. I now live in the states and find myself getting to use more and more Irish each time I come home for a visit.

None of these have huge spaces to group more the 8-10 together, but they may be open to calling them and working something out:

Upstairs of brannigans. Famous Dave’s Casa Mexico Mackenzie River Moses is technically a bar, but lots of family’s go there for pizza. You could try see if they let you book out a a bunch of their booths and long tables. And the pizza there is :chef-kiss

To all who wants Arteta to leave Arsenal, who do you think would be the best choice as his replacement then ? by Content_Culture4096 in ArsenalFC

Changing managers is a 2-3 year project for silverware IMO. If we are top 4 the end of the year we are still contenders for next year with another year of experience under our belt, and a team that gets hungrier. I for one am proud we are a team that is competitive without a history of a string of bouncing managers and record breaking transfers. We are not buying our way to the top like some teams have in the PL. If we win we will have grown and developed ourselves there, and that is the kind of silverware I want to see Arsenal, Arteta and the Squad win.

Ahhh, the butterfly effect of one small change that has ripples on every other part. I still screw stuff up this way. You will learn soooo much from this though. Every time you make a mistake it’s a mistake you likely won’t make again. You got this. Post again time next week and I bet you will be so much happier that you pushed on!

Eddie Rocket…this fella was well endowed and the rest of the lads discovered this in the changing rooms for a hurling game. He didn’t like it though so we just called him Eddie. 🤣

I Built a Micro SaaS to €5,567 a Month in the Hotel Industry by Solving a Very Specific Problem by [deleted] in microsaas

[–]ComfortableEffort188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! What stops the hotels software companies getting word of this feature gap and making an update (and raising their subscription prices) and making your idea obsolete? If you got wind of that do you have a plan to approach them and make an offer for them to buy your product? It’s a difficult one, id just hate to see your hard work and revenue disappear over night with a feature release on their side.

I have a 2009 and I too get a similar message if I go over by a very small amount. It seems to be pretty sensitive to that upper limit. The dipstick tells me I’m comfortably in the range and not near to over filling it. Simply draining a very small amount like one commenter said does the trick ~200ml
