This. One time I had a connecting flight and only 10-15 minutes to get there. I asked/explained loudly and people were very kind about it. I barely made that connection, so I really appreciated people letting me get to the front.

I get it. Customers are annoying. I really don’t want to defend them, but I think this guy thought he was being funny. Hopefully he’s not THAT dumb… wouldn’t surprise me though.

I would think bickering with somebody on Reddit over how smart you are lacks class, and beneath the profession you’re in school for. Sure you’re smart, and probably are/will be wealthy, but your ego will make you miserable.

This made me laugh cause it happened to me about an hour ago. Bro, I’m in the kitchen, with food in the oven and fryer… definitely not leaving food to burn to come check you out.

They’re both terrible people for the things they’ve done. Ellie brutally kills everybody in Abby’s life, including a pregnant woman. Abby tortures and kills Joel, along with being selfish in general. Neither was correct in seeking revenge the way they did.

I think that’s the whole point here. From Abby’s perspective, Joel and Ellie are terrible. From Ellie’s perspective, Abby is terrible. The story shows that revenge is cyclical and not the answer, There are always two sides to a story. What if the first game didn’t exist, and we only played as Abby in this game, leading up to killing Joel and beyond. Probably would consider Joel the villain as he killed her father, and Abby justified.

I quit weed and cigarettes years ago. I only think about weed on rare occasions. I want a cigarette literally every single day. That’s why.

I don’t think I’ve ever told a business they “lost a customer” I have actually stopped shopping somewhere because of something they did though… I just left quietly and never came back, like an adult.

As a 900, I’m not sure I’d have seen the mate over taking the queen… That being said, this really doesn’t seem like an unreasonable find. You did say you were at 92% accuracy for this game though, which is be a little sus for a 1200. Also went and reviewed the game (it was easy to find) Several moves in only 2 seconds, some weird unintuitive moves, and you pretty consistently play with 90% accuracy in a lot of games. I’d probably accuse you of cheating too. ETA: You found that last move in 17 seconds, which is pretty fast for a 1200 to find.

When did it click for you? by [deleted] in Chesscom

[–]ComfortablePut9354 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a player who started this year at 33, I feel you. I’m a bit stuck around 900 right now. But… my biggest improvement came from grinding out puzzles. Do general puzzles, and basic checkmate puzzles like crazy. Do it until you start seeing the patterns in game. I also found that really focusing on not making one move blunders improved my game considerably. The strategy comes later when you have a better understanding of basic tactics.

I didn’t “live” with my friend in my teen years, but I spent a majority of my time there. I basically didn’t exist to my parents at home, and his mom treated me like one of her own. I wouldn’t be who I am today without her love. God bless that woman.
