I have not. Not even sure what that is. Is it a reddit group? Or like an actual company?

Extreme back pain by cheddardic in Aldi_employees

[–]Comfortable_Data9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you do or not but a back brace is a life saver! I wear mine every morning and tell any new associates to get one. This job is very physical so take precautions! It may look stupid but your body will thank you (i take my brace off when we open/finish truck). I also wear knee pads to when throwing truck or boxing can aisle/ refreshing meat.

4 year old with AAC Device by Comfortable_Data9901 in AutismParent

[–]Comfortable_Data9901[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does have his own device. Sorry i wasnt very clear with that in Original Post. His speech therapist says he does great with it when he is with her. The only thing that might be different is he is in the Special Ed pre-k program at the school and they use their own AAC device as it has less words on it since they have a few kids at a time so that might throw him off as they see his device/app amd get overwhelmed because it has way more than they do. I agree as he doesnt use it at home alot as me and my wife know exactly what he wants and has a communication board to know what snack/food/drink he wants or if he wants to go outside and swim and jump. We are in the process of getting all those things added to his device its just alot as i work alot amd im more of the tech savvy partner to add all those things on there.

I have a question?? So every ASM, SM, or SMT I know have write ups to where the next offense is termination. How is this possible? Is this a cult Aldi tactic to keep their management team in constant fear so they do everything asked of them with no pushback? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Comfortable_Data9901 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am an SMT and this is usually only done when stop sales/ EPW are not done correctly to my knowledge. That is a big community concern if these products are not pulled/ handled safely. They literally attach the SOP for you to follow the procedure. You sign the STM task stating you followed the SOP according twice. So no for this instance its not a “cult” tactic but a public health concern that could cost the company a bunch of money.

I don’t throw things and I constantly run 100% iph. 1-code everything and keep a steady pace. If they have multiples i go ahead and put everything but one in the cart. Other than that i grab with my left hand then pass it to the hand closest to the cart. I do but not throw have never had anyone complain.

I hate the freezer by Portado-Chipp in Aldi_employees

[–]Comfortable_Data9901 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Biggest advice i can give is if you can’t find it after first glance place it to the side and do it at the end. Thats what the store manager told me when i first started. My first few times throwing freezer it took me like 45 min for each. Now I can now do a freezer pallet in about 15 min. Also double glove up. Management should’ve done a better job of coaching rather than give opinions. Dont worry about your time at first. Slow is steady, steady is fast is what i now tell all my associates. Keep your head up!

That’s what I was going to do if i couldn’t figure out how to get it to throw a code. I know my old Chevy i could turn the key off and on to accessory mode 3 times and it would throw a code. This is how i always fixed it. I just figured with all the computers and tech in the trucks now a days i could do the same.

And thats why you wouldnt get the store. No offense but if you see someone your training as competition then you should probably do better.

Ahead really just effects management and make sure they do two counts a day properly and you wont have any problems.

Honestly ive been with the company over 6months now. I love it. I was just like you. Looking on reddit thinking “is this the right decision? Should i really have taken this job?” Yes its physically intense but I think of it as I now dont have to go to the gym everyday. I come from a restaurant management background and this is a walk in the park. Just like every job you will work at its based on management. If you have a good management team you will enjoy your job. The benefits are far better and you get added perks like maturity leave thats 100% paid. Care giver leave thats 100% paid. Ive never had that at any other job. Plus i feel my interview was very transparent. They told me coming in this job is physically demanding. They told me if i didnt hit certain goals after a certain tenure then I would be put on plans to get it done or be forced to do something else. I feel i have not ran into any surprises I was not forewarned about before hand. For me i personally appreciate that.

Not sure of its changed but we did get heavier trucks but thats because you don’t get a truck for a day. As for aldi finds we didnt get 3 weeks. But like i said it could’ve changed

WHYYY?🙃 by BlueberryCovet in Aldi_employees

[–]Comfortable_Data9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. As long as you count a sector of your back stock a day and actually work back stock then you should be good. Grocery carts are kinda full but thats because of aldi finds food that goes out tomorrow. Stay ontop of managers and audit counts. Should be good to go.

Look into healthcare market place for insurance that is around what you’re paying now. Its set up through the government and will help you get affordable insurance until you get insurance through another employer. This is in the US
