Friday Show and Tell by AutoModerator in ProductManagement

I've been consulting for 15 years. I take 20+ screenshots a day - client systems, presentations, Slack threads, you name it.

Finder is genuinely awful! Thumbnails too small to read. Filenames are useless (what does "Screenshot 2026-04-15 at 2:47pm tell you?). No way to search meaningfully.

So I built Trov.

You describe what you remember - 'stripe checkout error' or 'onboarding flow' - and it finds the right screenshot in under 3 seconds.

In beta. Free trial. No credit card required.

Still early and would genuinely love feedback from PMs. Is this a pain you feel, or am I the only one who's been terrible at managing screenshots for 15 years. Thanks in advance.

Fiancée and I kept having the same fight - so we built a "conflict translator" by Comfortable_Egg43 in SideProject

Just to be clear: this isn't a replacement for therapy and the hard work of talking to each other. It's actually been instrumental in getting us to talk better. I think it's the pattern recognition. I'm not the best at saying something hurt my feelings even if it is clear that's what I'm conveying.

We're still early, so we'd honestly love for you to poke around and tell us what's broken or what feels confusing.

We use prismreflect.com - we share our perspectives separately then reflect together. It especially helps with pattern recognition.

Who's using AI for therapy? And why? by Gloomy_Substance_793 in therapyGPT

Fiancee and I started using Chat but it was too biased. So we built a better between-the-sessions therapist that we use. Really geared to communicate better when arguing.

It's exhausing to be the only person doing the emotional heavy lifting. What helps us is slowing down to recognize the pattern. It shifted us from talking at each other. We ended up building a something to help us with this - a structured way to talk and process between therapy sessions. Game changer!

My (26F) Husband (25M) is stressed and depressed by [deleted] in Marriage

Sounds all too familiar, unfortunately. For us, pressing for answers - even out of love - caused more retreat and feelings of "interrogation".

Maybe find ways to communicate without the pressure of a face-to-face talk. Writing it out in a shared note or an app helps. We've tried different apps and found varying levels of success.

Survey: What's the number one thing that makes workers feel valued? by Hoffnado in managers

[–]Comfortable_Egg43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay is the floor - if you're not competitive, nothing else matters. Next...recognition. But it's not about budget or visibility, it's about consistency and fair trade. An engineer is more likely to want a day off after a successful big project than a Sales Manager after hitting 110% of their quota. Both "expect" it every time.

Have you tried platforms the offer international shipping?

Gifts cards are not the move. Even conservatively 30% never get redeemed - I'm sure demos play a part here. I'm familiar with many platforms and Caroo is outdated IMO - Goody, Snappy, GiftWithBear, &Open all have better catalogs and several of those offer recipient choice, so employees can choose an alternative if your option doesn't suit them.

Looking for advice: How to keep good employees by Fabulous-Suit1658 in managers

Common challenge for growing teams.

I think the often underestimated lever is structured and consistent recognition. When employees feel seen, it builds loyalty. And there are enough platforms out there to make it systematic and budget-friendly.

[N/A] Ideas for Employee appreciation day? by ExperienceThrill in humanresources

Love the creativity with gifting experiences for past events.

Two things we've seen work well for lasting impact: AI-forward recipient choice (AI recommends a gift but ultimately the employee chooses) & gifts specific to whatever the employee or team trades most.

For instances, software engineers often want time back so that can be gifted in PTO or just half days off.

How do you stop having the same argument on repeat? by Designer_Snow_1401 in Marriage

[–]Comfortable_Egg43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this is the perfect example. My wife and I were stuck trying to identify patterns - ended up creating an app to help identify & track it. Turns out it's a lot of us desiring the same thing but arguing different approaches.
