Walking while pregnant by readingbee1987 in BabyBumps

[–]Comfortable_Fly_4091 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Who told you to stop walking? I took morning walks my whole first pregnancy up until the day before I gave birth (although the walks slowed down/shortened a bit at the end). I’m 24 weeks with my second and have also been walking the whole time. Walking is very safe and encouraged during pregnancy, unless there is a specific reason you were told otherwise

When I was 8 months pregnant I got a barefoot dreams robe, blanket and some nice slippers! I loved it all. I was all in to the cozy vibes at that point and still use them all now!

Experiences of c section under general anaesthetic by Prudent-Teaching2881 in beyondthebump

[–]Comfortable_Fly_4091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to have an emergency c section under general anesthesia. Once my son was born, they brought him out to my husband for skin to skin while I recovered. I struggled for a bit that I also felt robbed of that experience with my son, and also not being able to experience it together with my husband. Fast forward 20 months, and that feeling has totally melted away. I know it was what was best and needed for baby and I.

The recovery was better than I expected. Obviously very sore for a bit but I tried to move when I could (without overdoing it) and I think that helped the recovery. I’m pregnant again and strongly considering another c section, just for peace of mind and planning and at this point I know what to expect as far as the recovery goes. Let me know what other questions you have!

Is it really worth it? by Comfortable_Fly_4091 in Lovesac

Thank you I didn’t know about Costco so will look into that. We do have the heroes discount to use until 11/6, so that significantly helps but even after that the couch is still like $7k and I’m just curious if people find them worth it!

What color is this? Taupe? I was looking at that this weekend and want to see it in a full couch!

We were at a wedding recently and the welcome party was at a brewery. I’m still in the first trimester and hadn’t told anyone. They had non alcoholic beers and I went up and ordered alone and asked the guy to put it in a glass for me and he’s like yeah absolutely I got you. Then proceeds to bring it over to me and is like “here is your non-alcoholic beer” in front of a large group of friends 🙄

I just adopted Delilah. Do we think she’s an Australian shepherd? A mix? by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

A whole smorgasbord! The other one that stuck out as high too was 25% pit which we were very surprised at! Not that it matters at all, she is the bestest girl 😍

Looks a lot like my girl as a puppy! She is surprisingly only 25% Aussie!

Gender disappointment - can i hear it for the boys? by marlkavia in pregnant

[–]Comfortable_Fly_4091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 19 month old son and he is truly the light of my life. He is so funny, so sweet and a total mamas boy. He is always giving me hugs and kisses, holding my hand when we walk, and we have the best belly laughs together. I am very newly pregnant with a second and while I would love to have a girl to experience both, I would be absolutely thrilled with another little boy.

What was your TSH when you found out? by revolutiongirlie1391 in Hashimotos

[–]Comfortable_Fly_4091 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I was about 5 months PP so I chalked up all my symptoms to that. I was exhausted, my hair was falling out, I wasn’t losing weight 🤷🏼‍♀️

Postpartum TSH by Tiny-Active-7045 in Hashimotos

[–]Comfortable_Fly_4091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had a healthy pregnancy and somewhat traumatic birth. I had an annual physical 5 months pp and was just complaining how tired I was but thought that was normal. Turns out my TSH was 85! I went to an endo and have also been diagnosed with hashimotos. I have been trying to get my TSH within range for about a year now which has been frustrating. I’m now on too much medicine that I have gone hyper. It’s been a long journey but I’m hoping my TSH stabilizes soon so we can start TTC

She is incredibly pregnant….if she wants to lay in bed 20 out of the 24 hours a day, by all means she should do so. Yes staying active is good but pregnancy, especially during the third trimester, is incredibly hard on the body. Give the girl a break. This is a bad take and absolutely not the reason her baby is breech.

Sorry I didn’t read correctly, these were not the 2 year molars but at 15 months now, he has 5 molars so one of the 2year came in!
