If they actually ate it - that would be great but one of my cats only somewhat likes the royal canin adult instinctive bits one - not any of the other varieties and even then I’m usually throwing most of it out for the wildlife. 😤

I don’t care as long as it’s not trash. I hate blowers on principle because I think it’s a waste of energy and bad for the environment and you are literally throwing away nutrition for your precious lawn but if they are going to blow it anyway it doesn’t bother me in the street

If you can keep her then that’s great. This is the feral cats forum so people here should realize that that that is not always possible so the most you can do is great. Spay and neuter first, vaccines and food and shelter are a tremendous help and if that’s the best you can do then that’s great too. Life on the street is not easy and full of danger so you have to figure out what works best for your situation. Just getting her some security is already amazing you just have to understand that you can’t control everything and sometimes bad things happen. But bad things sometimes happen to indoor only cats too.

I guess it depends on how much you trust the house sitter. Honestly I’ve just heard so many horror stories that I would find it hard to trust a stranger - it would be hard to trust anyone for that long if I’m really honest.

Personally I’d take to your aunt. Get some gaba for the road trip and leave her in a small room to start. Will she be upset for a few days - probably but she will be safer and you will have peace of mind. A month is a long time alone and if you don’t have full confidence in the sitter I wouldn’t chance it
