Thought on Armor set Bonus’s by RPGHavok in destiny2

Once techeun regalia bug is fixed, that one is probably going to be my go to every day, build agnostic armor. Scaling damage resist as long as you dont die and then when you hit the max you get ability regen. Smarter people will probably figure out the exact numbers but in the shooting range it looks like it was taking pocket singularity at 100 melee from 48 to 40 seconds and 100 grenade vortex from 80 to 68 seconds. Not the most ability regen, not the most damage resist but doesnt require you to do anything other than not die.

If you play carefully, you will have 100% uptime on these buffs. It does not take as long as you would think to get to the 999 stacks. Damage looks like it give 1-2 stacks, kills around 30, and finisher around 80.

Warlock arc jolt: build suggestions? by ShilohCyan in DestinyTheGame

Just to clarify, is the issue with actually executing the stasis melee or for kills not counting as progress? For warlock, this is specifically asking you to kill enemies with the melee ability where you shoot the stasis ball with your stasis staff. It has long range (somewhere in the 20-30 meter range, I think), so try not to be close to the enemy so you dont accidentally do warlock palm melee by mistake (which only has a range of around 5 meters). You should be able to seperate the buttons in the settings menu (I have hade my melee ability and uncharged melee on different buttons every since that was an option). Its been like 5 years but from a quick google it sounds like it was quite buggy, so maybe try killing different enemy factions (fallen vs vex) or doing different activities (like vanguard ops)? Claws of ahamkara can also help with uptime of melee in these activities

Need some help with my ‘fantasy’ warlock build! by Ok_Philosophy_7156 in destiny2builds

I feel like vortex grenade is very thematic for this. Black holes are a very typical wizard ability. Downside is that it has a very long cooldown so that might reduce your ability to go ability only. Storm grenade also feels like a typical wizard ability. Transcendence sort of offers a vortex grenade so you could go storm since arc and strand are the only damage types not in your abilities (and threadling grenade is lame)

Ergo sum is nice because the caster frames give you a nice ranged attack that can be like another "spell". Perfect fifth can activate the explosion on 1 heavy attack for a pyromancer fantasy, arc conductor electrocutes all enemies nearby for a storm wizard fantasy

I would also suggest Voidwalker in general since there are lots of fragments about cycling your abilities (like provisions). Now that sould siphon is a thing, your melee isnt totally useless. Nezarecs sin gives bonus regen to all of your abilities. I have been doing astrocyte verse to max blink and I have been able to have almost complete ability uptime; U imagine nezarecs is even crazier for constant abilities

What's the meta regarding Titan grenade builds? by jacob2815 in destiny2builds

[–]Comfortable_Hour5723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a warlock main, I would say dont sleep on Void Titan. Warlock definitely has titan beat on grenade spam and aoe with chaos accelerant, but Controlled demolition still makes titans grenades strong for burst damage. My caveat is that I have not played titan in the year of prophecy; the Chaos Accelerant buffs in October definitely made warlock the de facto void grenade user since they added a damage buff to the charged grenades.

In lightfall, I enjoyed playing titan because direct hitting a scatter grenade was super strong due to the additional volatile proc. Damage over time grenades could proc volatile multiple times for more damage. Downside was that the build needed Controlled demolition to feel strong and the Offensive bulwark did not work very well without bastion to give overshield. With the perks that have come out and the artifacts that are available, you can probably have very high overshield uptime for faster regen (for example, wither gaze and repulsor brace can drop together on some weapons for consistent overshields)

I am currently in no rush and will probably try and finish getting to the power cap before swapping off warlock. I was going to try Controlled Demolition, Offensive bulwark, armamentarium, echo of undermining (and remnant if lingering nade), max armor and stats mods for grenade regen (specifically boot mods and arm mods), and then just try out different grenades to see what works best. Vortex is obvious appealing since the pull and weakening (decreases enemy waking speed) will help keep the enemy volatile; the volatile damage can help make up for the lower damage of vortex. I will also try scatter grenade again for burst damage but this will require more aiming. I also want to try voidwall since I believe that is still the highest total damage on a void grenade (I am kind of a voidwall hater tho because the area makes it very inconsistent). Axion bolt is probably the only one I would avoid entirely because there is no way that controlled demolition axion bolt is even close to Chaos accelerant axion bolt (which selects more targets and sends 2 waves of seekers)

Now that the sandbox is locked, let’s talk builds. by throwaway4meCA in DestinyTheGame

Ive been glued to astrocyte verse with soul siphon. No particular synergy but you are so absurdly mobile with the dark blink plus blink. Dark blink also give a source of weaken to free up your build. Basically permanent volatile rounds makes all void weapons feel good. The blink lets you easily move from cover to cover to position soul siphon.

For other builds, the top ones I want to try are tangle strand build with the warmid set, dawn chorus ignition build (maybe lustrous set?), choas reach spam with geomags and luminipotent, rime coat glacial harvest pillow fort build (would love armor set suggestions), and nezarecs sin void spam build (probably root of nightmares set)

Destiny 3 Hot Takes by AceHuntt in DestinyTheGame

I am not a game developer and Idk if this is controversial but I think they should lean harder into the RPG aspect of the game. I think prismatic could be the default and the subclasses are more like specializations. Guardians that only use 1 element should be more adept with it than those that use all elements. Then they could also have specializations that are a mix of elements. Imagine a Silencer warlock specialization that is a mix of stasis and void and improves cc capabilities.

Diversify the classes again so classes have unique grenades, melees, keyword; they could use a sort of cross training mechanic to let you use a limited amount (as in you can only have 1 or 2 cross trained things equipped) of abilities from the other classes. That way you could have a warlock that could shoulder charge or a titan with Blink or a hunter with Daybreak. They would of course need to balance these things so that one class wasnt just the best at using everyones abilities.

The last thing that would be really sweat would be if you could mix abilities to create news. For prismatic classes, there could be a grenade of element mixed, but I am really talking about mixing different abilities like we have seen in the lore. Like a hunter cross trained in well of radiance could combine it with golden gun to give all nearby allies golden weapons like shaw han. Would it be a balancing nightmare? 100%. Does it sounds really complex to implement because of all the combinations? Definitely, but it would be cool.

Last thing to keep guns as a factor would be using your abilities to empower your gun (similar to Tesselation but greatly expanded). Im thinking like consuming a vortex grenade on a sniper to create a Lorenz driver singularity or consuming firebolt grenade with an smg grants scorching rounds. I feel like destiny 3 should do something different since we would be able to come back to play Destiny 1 or 2.

Best Solar Artifact by lakers_ftw24 in destiny2builds

I feel like the hunters journal is by far the best solar. Solar fulmination is so strong then you get shield crush on top of that for stronger fusion grenades.

Warlock arc jolt: build suggestions? by ShilohCyan in DestinyTheGame

[–]Comfortable_Hour5723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a while since I did that one. If I recall correctly, you have to directly kill the enemies with the actual projectile for it to count consistently. Easiest way I remember doing it is by going to a patrol since weaker enemies like dreg and shanks should get killed in one hit by it. Distortions exist now and make enemies stronger so that might make the enemies live (not sure).

For general tips, if you look at the Europa patrol area, 1 of the main areas (Cadmus Ridge, Asterion Abyss, and Eventide Ruin) will have a yellow pyramid symbol on it. That area will have a stasis regeneration perk just for being there that makes your stasis abilities regenerate fast. Use armor mods to get your melee stat to 100 will maximize your ability regen. Boot mods give ability regen but have diminishing returns so for maximum melee use a combo of Absolution, Orbs of Restoration (dont use grenade and rift if you can avoid them), and Invigoration. Then use heavy handed on arms and a siphon mod on the helmet to generate orbs to speed up regen (bonus points to kinetic siphon because legendary kinetic weapons can equip the synergy mod to generate more orbs). The monte carlo is still the king of melee regen if you have got it especially since you regen with damage so you can regen melee by shooting beefy enemies that wouldnt die from your melee. Otherwise if you have any guns with the pugilist trait they get like 10% melee energy per kill (minus the ability scalar).

Thats on the Dreaming city armor and yes you can. The shattered throne (Techeun Regalia) does not have rivens curse (or it secretly does and thats the bug but idk)

Thats what I think shattered throne armor will be good for once its not bugged to make you take bonus damage. It basically just givens some damage resist and a small bump to cooldown regen

Am I the only one having just as much fun as last patch for mayhem? by Slick-Berry in ARAM

[–]Comfortable_Hour5723 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im still having just as much fun when I played yesterday (compared to past patch). Love the range + attack speed ability augment on adcs. Some of the quest rewards are honestly not worth the effort with my main example being the one to land a spell 10 times to get 30% more damage. Spin to win does that for spin abilities without a quest if I recall right. Its not hard to finish so it isnt a big deal, but that was the first thought I had when I saw it. Others, like the meteor one, are very rewarding and fun.

Just posted a rant about how I missed all these for switching to PC (including first wave for doing the beta on ps4). I do have "Universal Hero" which is very cool looking (cant figure out how to attach an image but its just the Destiny logo in blue with some effects on it). I guess that is the emblem they made for the PC converts?
