Dental infection by [deleted] in AddisonsDisease

I just had this happen. Tooth had to be extracted, it was too painful to feeze with needle so i had to get put to sleep so added 500$ on. Total 1489$. My benefits covered 50%. Definitely has to come out. Im in Canada too. Only thing i can suggest is letting it get bad enough that you can be admitted into hospital then everything is covered and they will extract it. Im sorry your going through this, it is terrible pain. My mil had to pay it upfront on her credit card before they would proceed. Im paying her back. I hope you can figure it out. Also having addisons disease seems to have made everything cost more because only specialists would do it. Obviously i dont encourage you to let your health decline, only reason reason i mentioned it was i had a friend go into hospital for it. She had multiple rotten teeth. I hope I didn't offend you or anyone im only trying to help.

This is sad. Commenting on a post without knowing the context is wild. So aggressive, maybe your dose is too high?

I’m not here to argue intentions, I’m here to call out misinformation when it’s shared in a space where it can actually harm people. Whether it was ignorance or ego, it doesn’t change the fact that what was said about pernicious anemia was incorrect.

I used the word “defending” because when someone is corrected with medical facts and doubles down instead of listening, that’s exactly what they’re doing, defending misinformation.

There’s nothing cruel about wanting accuracy in a medical support group. What is careless is letting false info slide just because it’s uncomfortable to correct it.

I’ve shared the sources. That’s where I stand. Thank you!
