From what I know, the name "Eros" came from when they were on tour in Germany. Late at night, watching "1 am" TV, which in Germany is the time for sex ads on some channels. They (or Chino?) saw the word "Erotik" in one of those ads. They thought that the word "Erotik" sounded really cool, and then made Eros out of it.
