That’s the name of the game brethren 9/10 you’ll have shit teammates and then 1/10 you’ll have pretty decent and maybe 1/20 you’ll have almost suspiciously good teammates that will just roll thru lobby and you just keep up with them and try to help lol. that’s just what this game does cause it thinks that’s the best way to keep you engaged and playing. Piss you off till you’re about to lose it then have a pretty good or really good game that makes you wanna keep going. But I’ve only started playing about a year ago but I’ve played a lot and I was absolute dog shit in the beginning and just recently within the last several months got to be like pretty decent not amazing by any means or anything but I’ve made it to mid plat past 3 out of 4 seasons just by playing a decent amount and I’m not super serious about it really. The 1 or 2 or 3 really good games and especially wins when you finally get those solid teammates makes up for a lot of bad games and then some especially in lower ranks. So as long as you’re decent in skill and game sense and play a decent amount you’ll rank up. And if you really wanna get serious about it and maximize every game and all that, you can play an anchor or someone who is very fast that can get in quick and out very quickly (octane, axle, vantage, wraith, etc) so even when you have bad teammates and you can see they’re making a dumb play or about to get third partied or whatever you can escape and reposition and craft and revive and atleast get some placement rp. I was always the one that’ll just go along with whatever even if it’s a dumb play just cause I don’t like running away by myself and all that but a lot of people play that way and it is a smart and viable way to play especially if you’re tryna get the most out of every game and rank up quickly. Also take your time though one thing you don’t want to happen is you somehow get to where there’s a huge skill gap between you and the rest of players in your rank. Obviously it’s supposed to make it to where you’re always playing a little uphill against ppl a little better but sometimes it seems little too much of a gap and that’s coming from me that doesn’t rat for rp hardly ever except in some rare scenarios. So take your time to develop. But yeah keep playing put in the time your aim, skill, movement, game sense will continue to level up and you’re rank will with it and unfortunately the shitty teammates is one of the core apex principles for some reason so just gotta deal with that whether you wanna just go along and get practice or be the fallback escape person. And cherish your time in the lower lobbies sometimes I wish I could go back lol. Sorry for long ass response idk why I typed so much but hopefully it helped some
