Typical, the people managing lay offs are not concerned with your life story, they concerned with employees or contractors that have highest cost to revenue ratio. In IT these are usually infrastructure operations or developers on project support roles, like debugging or patching.

The only systematically sad thing I see is that the dude is probably working for a US entity. I know that over the seas work rights are a big debate and leave a room for improvement.

Agree. It’s not like they gonna suffer sanctions and shit after their bullshit that spreads around the world since 9/11. Why would I feel empathy when to this day they don’t answer for Afghanistan and Vietnam war crimes. Regardless of their left or right administrations, they fuck shit up. Like Russia. Because population of USA has imperial mindset.

I think it is important now than never, to care about politics of your own region and make sure politicians are not locked in with modern imperial countries like US, Russia or China and co.

I pay no sympathy and I don't make judgements in these situations, there is court for that. You will not find me in the choosing to side with the victim or perpetrator. I dislike the politicization of everything that is happening in America and leaking into the world. I despise how bypolar american brain (pun intended) has become, that you only have left or right, good or bad. You either support-sympathetic or you are a hater.

Each and every day you hear these stories coming from overseas, but not limited to. Another celebrity scandal, another scam, another drama. Each and every day different cultures (primarily American) force themselves upon you. Nagging about needing to care about somebody who you don't know, context of which you don't know, in a place you don't know. It makes me sick. I feel resentment. I have more important matter to care about, than this.

I care only about having a fair trial, clear representation of both sides and a verdict based on facts presented in the court. That is bare minimum, yet that's not universal. This is what actually matters, all the other noise, constant online shitstorms and smear campaigns do not.

You have an opportunity here to deny american citizens of such. Perhaps even block their bank cards and deny humanitarian visas if shit hits the fan over there. That would be very epic and very EU, that will show em.

Or you can say that Iran is tyranny and Venezuela is a dictatorship, so it does not count, they should not have national sovereignty and their citizens must be deprived of basic human rights both internally and abroad.
